Leftists had a meltdown over Formula 1 star Lando Norris thanking Donald Trump for being his “lucky charm” as he swept to victory at the Miami Grand Prix.
The McLaren driver secured his first F1 victory after taking advantage of a safety car to beat world champion Max Verstappen.
Before the race, Donald Trump was invited to visit the McLaren garage as a guest.
He also received a warm welcome from F1 fans.
Following his victory, Norris was complimentary towards Trump, suggesting his presence may have been a positive influence.
“He saw me after, and he came up to congratulate me,” said Norris.
“So I guess an honour, because whenever you have someone like this, it has to be an honour for them to come up to you, to take time out of their life, to pay their respect for what you’ve done,” he added.
“He said he was my lucky charm because it’s my win,” Norris added. “So I don’t know if he’s going to come to more races now,” said Norris.
“But there’s a lot of special people or cool people that have been here this weekend. Donald is someone that you got to have a lot of respect for in many ways.”
“For anyone like that who acknowledges what you can go out and do and acknowledges the work ethic that goes into things, you got to be thankful for that, and I was.”
“[It was] a cool moment, that’s all.”
Another video clip shows Norris talking with Trump after his victory.
Despite it being a “cool moment” for Norris, shitlibs on Reddit and X raged at the mere fact that the F1 star had acknowledged the former president.
“Incredibly disappointing,” said one Reddit user, adding, “This is gross.”
“Disgusting. RIP Lando’s charisma,” added another, while another idiot said the driver had committed “PR suicide.”
“Such a stain on the sport having that rapist fascist psychopath associated with it,” raged another utter moron.
“Genuinely fuck Lando Norris,” cried another individual on X.
Another claimed Trump is a “very very bad person.”
