New Jersey Mayor Says Drones Could Be Looking For Missing Radioactive Material

New Jersey Mayor Says Drones Could Be Looking For Missing Radioactive Material

“We’re no longer going to stand for not hearing the truth.”

The Mayor of Belleville, New Jersey, suggested that the mystery drones being seen over his state are likely looking for radioactive material that went missing in early December.

Michael Melham made the comments during an interview with Fox 5 New York.

The fact that some of the drones are flying in grid patterns means they could be searching for “radioactive material,” claimed the mayor.

“We’re aware of a threat that came in through Port Newark. Maybe that’s radioactive material,” he added.

“There is an alert that’s out right now that radioactive material in New Jersey has gone missing on December 2nd. It was a shipment,” said Melham.

“It arrived at its destination. The container was damaged and was empty.”

“The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) reported radioactive material lost in transit in Newfield, New Jersey, on December 3, 2024,” reports Fox 5.

“The material, identified as a Ge-68 pin source (Eckert & Ziegler model HEGL-0132) with approximately 0.267 mCi of activity, was shipped for disposal but never arrived intact.”

When asked why the government didn’t just admit to the public that it was responsible for the drones and reveal what their purpose was, Melham responded, “That’s the crazy part.”

“We’re no longer going to stand for not hearing the truth,” asserted the mayor, noting that people were being insulted by being told that the drone flap is a form of mass hysteria.

Some have suggested the search for the radioactive material is being kept secret so as to avoid public panic.

Melham’s remarks correlate with similar claims made by Saxon Aerospace’s John Ferguson, who said the drones are likely nuclear sniffers trying to detect a missing warhead left over in Ukraine which officials fear could now be somewhere in the United States.

However, the ‘nuclear sniffers’ explanation has been met with some skepticism, with people asking why the drones are only being flown at night.

Presumably, if the situation was such an emergency, they would be looking for such material around the clock.

It also doesn’t explain why the drones are being flown low over people’s houses or the fact that sometimes up to 50 drones have been seen in close proximity.
