Prominent Democrat Donors Pull Out Of Biden Fundraisers

Prominent Democrat Donors Pull Out Of Biden Fundraisers

They’re withdrawing the money

Prominent Democratic donors are pulling out of planned fundraisers during the week of the Democratic National Convention in yet another signal that Biden’s campaign is dead in the water.

CNN reports that organisers of events planned in Chicago have decided to pull the plug.

The report states “In the immediate wake of President Joe Biden’s debate performance, organizers paused conversations on planning the fundraiser until after the July 4 holiday to allow the dust to settle.”

It continues, “This week, the host committee decided not to proceed with the event, citing a disagreement over how to proceed given the continued erosion of support for Biden’s candidacy.”

Oof.

When fundraisers during the party convention are being cancelled things really are not going well.

The development comes following comments from several Democrats mega donors, including Ari Emanuel, the CEO of Endeavor, who slammed Biden last week and bluntly stated “we’re in fuck city.”

Meanwhile, in addition to Nancy Pelosi still refusing to back Biden, and throwing a hissy fit when she was asked to do so, Axios reports that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is open to replacing Biden on the Democrat ticket.

This comes as more lawmakers have called for Biden to step aside.

Senator Michael Bennet told CNN that Trump could win by a “landslide,” which would almost certainly flip the Senate and the House to the GOP.
