Raskin: Dems “Having A Serious Conversation About What To Do” After Biden Debate Debacle
While other prominent Democrats such as Pelosi and Obama have suggested Joe Biden is going nowhere, Rep. Jamie Raskin provided a rare moment of divergence by stating that there is serious talk of replacing Biden.
In an appearance on MSNBC Sunday, Raskin noted that the party is engaging in “very honest, serious, and rigorous conversations” about how to proceed.
“Obviously, there was a big problem with Joe Biden’s debate performance,” Raskin admitted, adding “there’s also just a tremendous reservoir of affection and love for Joe Biden in our party. So this makes it a very difficult situation for everybody.”
“We’re having a serious conversation about what to do,” Raskin continued.
He added, “One thing I can tell you is that regardless of what President Biden decides, our party is going to be unified.”
“Our party also needs him at the very center of our deliberations in our campaign, whether he’s the candidate or someone else is the candidate,” Raskin also noted.

As we highlighted yesterday, sources close to the Democratic Party have claimed that the debate last week was purposefully setup for Biden to fail as part of a “soft coup,” by insiders who know he is incapable of winning or serving a second term.
Other sources have claimed that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer “secretly” sent out an advance team to Washington DC weeks ago to prepare a snap presidential campaign.
Yet another Democratic insider has also claimed that despite Barack Obama’s public support, he is privately lobbying to get rid of Biden because he knows the incumbent President cannot defeat Trump.
Meanwhile, Biden’s numbers in the wake of the debate have tanked even further, with CNN statistician Harry Enten urging “I have never seen numbers this bad for an incumbent president during my lifetime.”
“These numbers were bad already, and the truth is, they have gotten just considerably worse, even in just a few days after that first presidential debate,” the data reporter further proclaimed.
Biden’s team is scrambling, with reports suggesting they may force him to conduct a sit down interview to prove that he can form coherent thoughts and talk properly.
