In insightful remarks during a recent event in Arizona, RFK Jr. related a story about how Donald Trump allowed Kennedy to fly on his personal jet, despite the fact that Kennedy was suing him at the time.
Kennedy was speaking with Tulsi Gabbard at the Reclaim America Tour event in Glendale last week, when the former Democratic Rep. asked him what he thought of Trump personally.
RFK responded that he has known Trump for many years, adding that on two separate occasions he sued Trump for attempting to build a golf course in the New York City reservoir watershed.
“And I sued him successfully to get him to stop that,” RFK Jr. told the amused audience.
Kennedy then noted that his then wife wanted to go on holiday to Palm Beach and was looking for a way to get there without having to pay massive fares for their entire family.
He noted that Trump agreed to allow Kennedy to fly his entire immediate family when asked by RFK’s wife.
“I said okay. I didn’t think she was going to do it,” Kennedy explained, adding “Then she said, ‘I found a free ride.’ I said, ‘Who?’ And she said ‘Donald Trump.’”
RFK said he told his wife, “I’m suing him,” and she responded ‘He told me he knows you are suing him, but it’s okay anyway.’”
Kennedy related how he did fly with Trump and his family and had a “great time,” and still sued Trump afterwards, much to the amusement of the crowd.
Kennedy also noted of Trump that “the night that he called me after he got shot in Butler, one of the first things he said to me was, ‘You know, are you a religious person?’”
“I said, well I have a deep belief in God and a spirituality which is the central organizing force in my life,” Kennedy continued, adding “he said, ‘I think I believe in that, too, now.’”
“He expresses in ways that I think are very unusual,” Kennedy continued, “His own affection for me. Which I also find touching.”

During his speech in New York earlier this week, Trump reflected on his “encounters with death” and noted that they have only “hardened” his focus.
“They’ve only hardened my resolve to use my time on earth to make America great again for all Americans,” Trump noted, adding “To put America first. We’re gonna put America first.”
