Trump Calls For Secret Service Protection For RFK Jr
Donald Trump has called for Secret Service protection to be immediately provided to Robert F. Kennedy Jr in the wake of the weekend’s events.
Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social,”In light of what is going on in the world today, I believe it is imperative that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. receive Secret Service protection immediately.”
Trump added, “Given the history of the Kennedy Family, this is the obvious right thing to do!”
Kennedy responded to Trump, noting “It is a hopeful sign for our country when a political opponent calls for one’s protection. Maybe our country can unite after all.”
Kennedy called for a complete renunciation of violence and for all Americans to “unite in prayer for President Trump,” following the shooting.
It has also been reported that Kennedy had a two hour meeting with Trump’s team earlier today.
Kennedy has not been provided protection despite repeated requests from his team, and despite the fact that a man was arrested for intruding into his home twice on the same day last year.
