Trump Campaign Claims Harris Asked For Seated Debate With Cheat Sheets

Trump Campaign Claims Harris Asked For Seated Debate With Cheat Sheets

“If Kamala Harris isn’t smart enough to repeat the messaging points her handlers want her to memorize, that’s their problem”

The Trump campaign has agreed to a debate with Kamala Harris on ABC News on September 10th in Philadelphia, but claims that Harris tried to have it be a seated discussion with access to notes.

Trump announced the debate in his typical bombastic fashion, calling ABC News “FAKE NEWS” and “by far the nastiest and most unfair newscaster in the business.”

Trump campaign spokesman Jason Miller added, “Enough with the games. We accepted the ABC debate under the exact same terms as the CNN debate,” referring to reports that Harris wants to be able to sit down and read cheat sheets.

“The Harris camp, after having already agreed to the CNN rules, asked for a seated debate, with notes, and opening statements. We said no changes to the agreed upon rules,” Miller added.

“If Kamala Harris isn’t smart enough to repeat the messaging points her handlers want her to memorize, that’s their problem,” Miller added.

Oof.

He further urged that “This seems to be a pattern for the Harris campaign. They won’t allow Harris to do interviews, they won’t allow her to do press conferences, and now they want to give her a cheat-sheet for the debate. My guess is that they’re looking for a way to get out of any debate with President Trump.”

Meanwhile, the Harris campaign has claimed that Trump’s team wants to have microphones muted when it is the other candidates turn to speak, as was the case during the CNN debate between Trump and Biden.

They claim that Harris wants the mics to remain unmuted and Trump is “letting his handlers overrule him.”

“Both candidates have publicly made clear their willingness to debate with unmuted mics for the duration of the debate to fully allow for substantive exchanges between the candidates – but it appears Donald Trump is letting his handlers overrule him. Sad!” a Harris campaign statement suggested.

Ahead of the upcoming debate, Trump is hilariously offering pieces of the suit he wore during the debate against Biden as a free gift when supporters buy his digital trading cards.

He’s calling it “the knockout suit.”
