Trump Gives Stark Answer When Asked If He’ll Split Up Families During Mass Deportations

“They can all go out together”

During a sit down interview with NBC News, president Trump gave a striking answer when asked if he intends to separate families through mass deportations of illegal aliens.

“Well, I don’t want to be breaking up families, so the only way that you don’t break up the family is you keep them together and you have to send them all back,” Trump declared.

“We don’t have to separate families, we’ll send the whole family very humanely, back to the country where they came,” Trump emphasised.

“If they come here illegally but their family is here legally, then the family has a choice. The person that came in illegally can go out, or they can all go out together,” he added.

The statement echoes previous remarks by incoming border czar Tom Homan.

Trump further explained that he still plans on ending ‘birthright citizenship’ – an interpretation of the 14th Amendment that has been exploited by those coming illegally to remain in the country by having children.

“We have to end it. We’re the only country that has it!” Trump said, calling it “ridiculous”.

What Trump says is accurate. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, no Western country in Europe offers outright citizenship without exceptions to children born in their country to illegal immigrant parents.

Trump noted that the only exceptions he would consider would be for individuals brought to the US as children who are currently protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

“We have to do something about the Dreamers, because these are people that have been brought here at a very young age, and many of these are middle-aged people now, they don’t even speak the language of their country,” Trump explained, adding “I will work with the Democrats on a plan.”

“They were brought into this country many years ago,” he continued. “Some of them are no longer young people, and in many cases they’ve become successful. They have great jobs. In some cases, they have small businesses. Some cases they might have large businesses, and we’re going to have to do something with them,” he added.

Elsewhere during the interview, the anchor Kristen Welker suggested that reports of gangs of violent criminal Venezuelans wreaking havoc in Colorado were unsubstantiated.

Trump was having none of it.

The media has repeatedly tried to downplay the seriousness of the situation.

As we highlighted last week, Trump has a plan to press ahead with mass deportations of illegals even if their home countries refuse to participate in the process.
