Donald Trump Jr. stated during a podcast this week that his father is considering removing the legacy media from the White House Press Corps and replacing them with independent journalists and podcasters.
Trump Jr. made the remarks while interviewing Daily Wire host Michael Knowles.
“I wonder now as your father is assembling his team, as maybe Karoline Leavitt is looking at the new press briefing room chart, maybe it’s time to reorder that chart, maybe take away some people’s seats,” Knowles said.
“So we’re going to break some news here,” Trump responded, adding that he “literally” just discussed the topic with his father and Elon Musk after last week’s SpaceX launch.
“We had the conversation about opening up the press room to a lot of these independent journalists,” he commented, noting that Trump could replace legacy media people in the White House Briefing Room with “Rogan and guys like you.”
“Why not open it up to people who have larger viewerships, stronger followings?” he urged.
“I’d love to see Rogan in the White House press briefing, or even rotate guys out,” Trump Jr. added.

Rogan’s podcast episodes, alongside others such as Tucker Carlson, garner hundreds of millions of viewers and listeners, while the likes of MSNBC and CNN struggle to reach half a million viewers at prime time.
They also deal in soundbites and 3 minute segments punctuated by ads for their corporate sponsors.
Not to mention the fact that they’re clearly now just propaganda arms for what remains of the Democratic Party.
From that perspective it makes total sense to replace them.
