President Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has revealed that he secured $5 billion in just a single day by selling 1,000 immigration gold cards, each valued at $5 million.
Lutnik made the announcement during an appearance on the ‘All-In Podcast,’ further noting that the administration sees a market of 37 million potential buyers.
Trump is confident that at least $5 trillion can be amassed by selling a million of the exclusive cards that give whoever buys them the same rights as foreign nationals in the country on green cards.

Trump introduced the cards last month as a replacement for the existing EB-5 investor visa, which he described as a flawed, fraud-ridden relic.
Lutnick told the podcast that the card was Trump’s idea and stated that his role was to execute Trump’s vision, noting that he “figured out how to do it.”
He added that while holders of the card as permanent residents also have the option to become US citizens, most are unlikely to do so, as they would then be subject to global taxation.
Lutnick further explains that to streamline the process of background checks of the applicants, Elon Musk’s team is making a custom software platform.
”It goes out in about two weeks,’’ Lutnick stated, adding ”You could do a better vet than anybody in the government has ever done earlier in one second.”
If a million gold cards were sold, it would raise $5 trillion which would make a significant dent in the national debt currently standing at $36.2 trillion.
