Tech leaders Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos of Meta and Amazon are both reportedly giving a million dollars to President Trump’s inauguration fund.
Zuckerberg’s donation comes following a private dinner he had with Trump at his Florida home
The Wall Street Journal reports that the donation is part of an effort by Zuckerberg to ease tensions between him and Trump.

Trump previously threatened to prosecute and jail Zuckerberg and anyone else who interfered in the election by using their tech platforms to censor information in the same vein as the Hunter Biden laptop revelations in 2020.
Zuckerberg has indicated that he was pressured by the FBI to do so, as well as crack down on COVID information shared on Facebook, saying he regrets the move.
Following the first assassination attempt on Trump, Zuckerberg told the now president elect that he wasn’t going to help the Democrats this time around.
Zuckerberg also noted that “Seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag is one of the most badass things I’ve ever seen in my life.”
The Wall Street Journal is also now reporting that Bezos will go to Mar-a-Lago next week to meet Trump and match Zuckerberg’s donation.

Meanwhile, The Information reports that Google CEO Sundar Pichai is flying to Palm Beach on Thursday to meet with Trump.
Trump has claimed that despite past animosity between him and Google, Pichai has called him several times in recent weeks.
