Trump reportedly planning to kick out all transgender troops serving in the military

President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly preparing an executive order that would mandate the removal of all transgender members from the United States Armed Forces when he takes office in January.

Transgender individuals first served in the military under former President Barack Obama. Trump subsequently barred transgender individuals from joining the military in his first term, but allowed those already serving to remain in 2019. Outgoing President Joe Biden rescinded this policy when he took office in 2021, but now that Trump is set to take back control of the White House, he is reportedly proposing an extension of his previous plan on his inauguration day on Jan. 20, 2025.

Trump has been railing against "woke" practices in the military throughout his political career. He even claimed that some high-ranking officers are more interested in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) rather than planning about fighting and deployment.

In line with this, unnamed sources have revealed that the proposed policy would medically discharge the estimated 15,000 transgender active-duty service members. This new executive order would prohibit any transgender individuals from enlisting in the armed forces in the future. Additionally, the new directive would also remove even long-serving transgender personnel with decades of experience. Trump transition spokeswoman and incoming White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has not denied the accuracy of the reports, but clarified that "no decisions on this issue have been made" and the unnamed sources are only "speculating and have no idea what they are actually talking about."

"No decisions on this issue have been made. No policy should ever be deemed official unless it comes directly from President Trump or his authorized spokespeople," Leavitt said.

Trump envisions to get various sectors of America out of "wokeness" and "left-wing indoctrination"

While it is true that Trump has not officially declared the removal of all transgender members from the U.S. military, he has been reiterating his plans about the "transgender craziness" in various sectors throughout his campaign period.

For instance, in education, Trump's proposed policies may remove Title IX protections for transgender students. These changes could affect the enforcement of policies related to pronoun usage and access to bathrooms and locker rooms. Additionally, Trump has been reiterating his stance against transgender women competing in women's sports during the campaign period.

In healthcare, Trump plans to federally extend the restrictions on so-called "gender-affirming care" for minors in 26 states by prohibiting doctors and hospitals from offering transgender care under Medicaid and Medicare.

In the military, Trump has not yet officially announced any reinstatement of a ban on transgender individuals serving in the military, but he already nominated Pete Hegseth, a former major in the U.S. National Guard who served in Afghanistan and Iraq, for his defense secretary earlier this November. Hegseth, who will be in charge of three million service members and civilian staff globally, supports Trump and his previous ban on trans service members. He even claimed that trans people are "not deployable" and cause "complications" in the military.

These stances only prove Trump's key vision for America: to get it out of  "wokeness" and "left-wing indoctrination."
