In a conversation on Netflix’s new docuseries What’s Next? The Future With Bill Gates, the 22-year-old shared how her father’s vaccine advocacy has impacted her personal life.

Phoebe, who recently graduated from Stanford University with a degree in human biology, responded to her father’s question about encountering so-called “conspiracy theories” regarding his role in the COVID pandemic.
“I’ve even had friends cut me off because of these vaccine rumors,” Phoebe said, addressing the widespread information about her father’s involvement in vaccine development.
Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and self-appointed global health czar, admitted he is furious about the information spreading on social media regarding his crimes. “I naively still believe that digital communication can be a force to bring us together,” he said.
