Ellen DeGeneres has fled the United States following the announcement by prosecutors that the investigation into her friend and party co-host Sean “Diddy” Combs has been expanded.

The former Ellen talkshow host and her partner Portia de Rossi revealed to The Wrap that they have listed their Montecito home for sale and relocated to the Cotswolds, a rural region in the UK. The couple claimed Donald Trump’s election victory was a key factor in their decision to leave the country.

DeGeneres, who was a close friend of Diddy, is on record stating that she is “never coming back.”

Though DeGeneres has not publicly commented on the matter, her choosing to leave the United States in response to the election of Trump marks a striking turn for her, given that she previously asked him to marry her mother.

The entertainment industry is on edge as a sweeping FBI investigation into Diddy’s underage sex and drugs blackmail scandal threatens to bring Hollywood’s most powerful figures to their knees.

According to various users on X, “the dots are connecting” as Diddy’s indictment reveals information potentially linking him to the bizarre death of Anne Heche, who was Ellen’s former partner.

While other users of the social media platform pointed out that Ellen’s talkshow set was designed to resemble the distinctive architecture on Jeffrey Epstein’s pedophile island.
