Rob Reiner Checks Into Mental Health Facility To Deal With Pain of Election Result

Rob Reiner famously vowed to self-immolate in the event of a Trump election victory. Rather than burning himself alive, however, the troubled Hollywood director has checked himself into a rehab facility to heal his pain and hide from the world.

Writing on the Bluesky social media platform, 77-year-old Reiner lashed out at Trump, the MAGA movement, Elon Musk, and the X platform, while claiming to be searching for “tranquility.”

“This platform is vile, racist and evil,” Reiner wrote about X, before stating that Trump supporters had followed him to Bluesky and ruined the platform already. “It did not take long for MAGA scum to come spread their lies.”

“I have made the decision to take the next few days to check into a facility for peace and relaxation,” he added, attempting to add a positive spin to a visit to a rehab clinic. “No phones, social media , no trolls, just calmness to heal my pain.”

Following the election, Reiner had celebrated making his new move to Bluesky after Trump won both the Electoral College and popular vote in a landslide over Democrat nominee Kamala Harris who failed to win a single battleground state.

“I have decided to move here for a less hateful experience,” Reiner’s post read at the time.

The platform has seen a bump in users with many left wing Hollywood celebrities and members of the legacy media announcing their grand departure from X because they cannot stand having to read the views of the majority of the American public without censorship.
