Gabbard’s military background (U.S. Army Reserve, Battalion Commander, 1-354 Regiment, Tulsa, OK) and combat experience (three Middle East deployments) indicate a disciplined approach to security protocols.

Her public persona emphasizes transparency within constitutional bounds, but her role requires absolute loyalty to classified operations, creating a complex incentive structure. All of this would seem to be something that would be one of the main causes as to why she was sought after by the D. Trump administration. The leak, reported by multiple media outlets (e.g., AP, PBS, June 2025), included detailed operational data strike coordinates, casualty estimates, and uranium stockpile impacts consistent with intelligence briefings she would oversee.

Gabbard’s public stance on Iran has shifted from her 2020 presidential campaign (anti-interventionist) to a more hawkish tone under Trump, possibly reflecting internal dissent.
