A graphic video released on Wednesday portrays the shocking protest of an elderly Oklahoma City man facing eviction, as well as showing the bumbling response of the black female police officers response to the situation.

In Oklahoma City, the distressing event was captured on body cam footage when 82-year-old Anthony Goulding set himself and his home on fire during an eviction attempt by law enforcement.

Officers had arrived at Goulding's residence to serve an eviction notice to him and his wife. The situation escalated dramatically as Goulding, armed with a container of gasoline, retreated to a back room and began dousing the area.

Despite the deputies' efforts to intervene, Goulding ignited the gasoline with a lighter, causing immediate flames that engulfed the floor and himself. One of the deputies was nearly caught in the blaze when Goulding threw the gasoline container in her direction, but she managed to escape unharmed.

The deputies then struggle to remove Goulding's wife from her seat in the living room, resorting to dragging the old woman outside when they are incapable of lifting her.

The incident, which resulted in Goulding's death and the death of the family dog, unfolded while an arrangement had been made for Goulding and his wife, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, to relocate to an extended stay facility.

Oklahoma County Sheriff Tommie Johnson III disclosed that one of the deputies had been assisting the couple for weeks to find a safe place post-eviction. An Uber had been waiting outside to transport them at the time of the incident.

While the deputies succeeded in safely removing Goulding's wife from the premises, a return attempt to rescue Goulding proved futile. One deputy sustained minor burns but both were medically cleared following the event.
