The Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and various intelligence community members received a newsletter celebrating an intelligence official for crossdressing.
An internal document obtained by The Daily Wire through a Freedom of Information Act request revealed that the newsletter stated the official dressing up in women’s clothes makes him “a better intelligence officer.”
The newsletter, called “The Dive,” was created and distributed from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s IC Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Office (ODNI) and sent to the entire intelligence community.
The article, titled “My Gender Identity and Expression Make Me a Better Intelligence Officer,” starts off by stating, “I am an intelligence officer, and I am a man who likes to wear women’s clothes sometimes.”
The anonymous author goes on to argue that his decision to cross-dress “merits attention given the climate of discussion around the topic and where it sits in the larger conversation about gender identity and expression and professional appearance.”
“I think my experiences as someone who cross-dresses have sharpened the skills I use as an intelligence officer,” the author claims in the article.
He expands on the point, saying that he has a “better appreciation for how it can be uncomfortable to wear women’s clothes sometimes,” while arguing that crossdressing makes him “more supportive” of his women colleagues.
“I know firsthand how wearing heels can make your feet hurt and make it take longer to walk somewhere,” he wrote.
At a later point in the article, the author stated that crossdressing makes him feel like a better ally for the “LGBTQIA+” community.
“Everyone is better off if they can bring their whole self to work. I definitely felt that, and now have supportive allies,” he said. “I am part of a community that is not the majority and sometimes feel discriminated against.”
Notably, the ODNI is a cabinet-level agency supervising the CIA, FBI, NSA, and intelligence units within each military branch. A spokeswoman confirmed to The Daily Wire that the quarterly newsletter was sent out to every element of the intelligence community in an effort to “enlighten readers.”
The newsletter comes as both the intelligence community and the broader federal bureaucracy have integrated the DEI agenda into their operations under the Biden administration.
“The world is on fire and our country faces unprecedented terrorist threats with an open southern border yet ODNI is prioritizing this?” Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL), a member of the House Select Committee on Intelligence told The Daily Wire.
“Our intelligence officers should be 100% focused on preventing the next 9/11 rather than using resources promoting the next DEI initiative,” he continued.
