It would appear that Tucker Carlson is never going back to his old school, as the former Fox News host has revealed that he is apparently banned from speaking at his alma mater despite student interest.
Carlson claims that he was invited by a group of students to speak at St. George's School, where Tucker Carlson attended during his adolescence.
During a Zoom call with the students to discuss the matter, Carlson shared that the school's administration gave him evasive responses, initially expressing concern over the potential media attention his visit might attract and later deeming it “unsafe.”
“I found, honestly, in my exchanges with the administration at St. George's a total resistance to having anybody who they don't agree with even,” Carlson remarked. He noted his deep connections with the school, not only as an alumnus but also as a parent to three children who attended St. George's, and as a donor.
“I don't want a mandatory chapel where everyone has to come and hear me,” Carlson added. “I don't believe in that. I don't want to press my views on people who don't want to hear them. Let's just have an event where everyone who wants to come can come and people who don't want to come don't have to come.”
Despite his efforts to obtain a “straight answer” from the administration, Carlson received no response. His calls to the headmaster were not returned for over a week, and even then, he could not get a clear explanation. He surmised the decision was politically motivated, finding humor in the lengths the administration went to prevent his speaking engagement.
