Candace Owens had a message for black Americans in a recent interview on The Breakfast Club morning show.
She argued that the government doesn’t care about black Americans, criticizing “puppet” lawmakers on both sides of the aisle for their “performance” in politics.
“Black America wake up. They don’t like you, they don’t like us,” Owens declared at one point in the broadcast.
Owens accused the government of “quite literally money laundering” in another part, urging Americans to pay closer attention to where tax-payer funds are “actually going.”
On the topic of America evolving into a welfare state, Owens argued “black Americans are poorer today than we were before it.”
She discussed the decline in black wealth, comparing today’s figures to times during and before Jim Crow when the community was better off when families “had values” and were two parent households.
“Any concept of saying that ‘I am a Republican forever’ or ‘Democrat forever’ is a nonsense,” Owens said, referring to the black community aligning themselves with a certain party. “You should always look at the candidates who are running, and any person that is running saying that they want to grow government is your enemy.”
When asked about why Owens believes she receives so much backlash from the black community for her comments, Owens replied, “I think they don’t realize they’ve been manipulated against their own interests.”
“When you start telling the truth, you become a problem to the establishment,” she continued.
“If you listen to what I’m actually saying, I’m sitting here providing a blueprint for black Americans to get ahead,” she added. “Why would you think the American government wants to help you. At what point in history has that proven to be right.”
“Think of them as a corporation, they want to grow themselves,” Owens proclaimed.
