6.1-magnitude earthquake shakes Vanuatu

A 6.1-magnitude earthquake was recorded off the coast of Vanuatu, according to data provided by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The epicenter of the quake was some 30 kilometers west of the town of Port-Vila and it hit at a shallow depth of about 39.9 kilometers.
This earthquake comes after a strong quake hit the island nation earlier this week, prompting tsunami warnings across the Pacific region.
