Heavy rains batter Uttarakhand

In the last few days, multiple landslides have been triggered in the hills due to the heavy rain in parts of Uttarakhand. The highway to Badrinath is blocked at various points by the rubble of landslide.

Various roads have been blocked and a lot of villages in Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts were heavily waterlogged because of the torrential rains.

On Friday (July 5), the Badrinath Highway was blocked because of the falling and piling up of debris at two different places in Chamoli.

According to the ANI, the busy Bhanerpani-Pipalkoti Naga Panchayata road and Angthala road were impacted due to the disruption which left many commuters and locals stranded.

The video of the massive landfall went viral and attracted comments from different users.
