The District Administration of Kohima has issued an urgent notice to address growing concerns about potential shortages of essential commodities and fuel following a landslide that occurred on NH-29 in the early hours of September 3rd to 4th, 2024.
According to the District Administration, there is currently no shortage of essential commodities or fuel despite the landslide affecting a section of NH-29. The Administration assures that the supply of these critical items is being maintained through alternate routes. The public is advised to avoid panic buying, which is based on incorrect assumptions of scarcity. The notice also added that the authorities are working closely with neighboring districts to ensure that supplies remain steady and uninterrupted.
