Explosive WarRoom Mission Report: Bannon Demands Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s Resignation in SCOTUS Rebuke

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday, in a 5-4 decision, denied Donald Trump’s request to halt the sentencing hearing in his New York criminal hush-money case. Trump-appointed Justice Amy Coney Barrett sided with liberal justices, allowing the hearing to proceed. The Court stated that Trump could address trial issues on appeal and noted the minimal burden of a virtual sentencing session, expected to impose only an “unconditional discharge.” This decision marks a significant judicial rebuke of the former and future president.

“We are going to get the WarRoom focused on this,” Bannon said on Friday’s WarRoom.

Mission- Target Barrett for Resignation

Steve Bannon, the outspoken architect of the MAGA movement, has turned his fire on U.S. Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, a figure once celebrated as a cornerstone of conservative jurisprudence. In a scathing War Room segment, Bannon didn’t mince words. He called Barrett a "disgrace” and accused her of betraying the movement that propelled her to the nation’s highest court.

"Coney Barrett is an absolute disgrace. She should think about early retirement,” Bannon said, his voice sharp with disdain. He proposed a bold move: "As a matter of honor, she should step down at high noon on January 20th, when President Trump takes the oath of office.”

This call for resignation is unprecedented and underscores the deep frustration within the MAGA base regarding recent Supreme Court rulings. Barrett, appointed by Trump in 2020 amidst a contentious confirmation battle, was expected to solidify a conservative majority. However, her decisions in several high-profile cases have ignited outrage for being liberal.

Bannon singled out Barrett’s dissent in the July immunity ruling and her votes aligning with Chief Justice John Roberts and liberal justices in other pivotal cases. "She’s abandoned the Constitution, plain and simple,” Bannon charged. "If she had any class, she’d let Trump appoint a true patriot to replace her.”

The criticism didn’t stop with Barrett. Bannon also lambasted Chief Justice Roberts, describing him as "weak” and accusing him of enabling judicial overreach. "The Supreme Court is supposed to defend the Constitution, not undermine it. What we’ve seen from Roberts and Barrett is outrageous,” Bannon declared.

Bannon’s remarks reflect massive discontent within conservative circles over the judiciary’s progressive-liberal direction. The MAGA movement has long championed the idea that the courts should play a pivotal role in upholding constitutional principles, particularly on issues like election integrity, immigration, and government overreach. For Bannon, the Supreme Court’s failure to defend the Constutition- and represents a betrayal of these ideals.

The timing of Bannon’s tirade is notable. Just 10 days before Trump’s inauguration- and it comes amid the New York trial against Trump, which Bannon has repeatedly labeled as "lawfare” and "election interference.” He warned that unless conservatives take bold action, weaponized courts will continue to erode freedoms and undermine democracy.

"The judiciary is being used as a tool of oppression,” Bannon said, emphasizing the stakes. "We need fighters on the bench, not turncoats like Barrett.”

This isn’t the first time Bannon has called for sweeping changes within institutions he views as compromised.

Bannon’s vision includes a judiciary that he believes would stand firm against political persecution and defend the rights of ordinary Americans. His demand for Barrett’s resignation isn’t just about her decisions; it’s a rallying cry for a judicial reset under Trump’s leadership.

As January 20th looms, Bannon’s pointed criticism of Barrett and the Supreme Court sets the stage for a renewed fight over the future of America’s judiciary—and the principles it’s supposed to uphold.
