According to Mike Davis, who appeared on the WarRoom on Monday with host Peter Navarro, Democrat Presidential favorite Kamala Harris plans to transform the US Supreme Court.
“They will absolutely nuke the legislative filibuster,” Davis told Navarro, indicating that Harris could reshape the Court’s composition and thereby influence key decisions on constitutional rights.
Davis told Navarro that Harris’s latest push to reform the U.S. Supreme Court has sparked significant controversy. Critics argue that her proposals could fundamentally alter the judiciary’s independence.
This initiative, he described, follows her history of leveraging radical social justice tactics to influence significant law enforcement institutions, as seen in her previous efforts to defund the police.
With the help of figures like Brian Fallon, her top communications aide and a known advocate for radical judicial reforms, Harris’s vision raises concerns about the potential impact on American democracy.
Davis, a prominent critic of what he describes as the “weaponization” of governmental powers, has been vocal about the implications of Harris’s agenda. Davis’s critique centers on what he perceives as an alarming attempt to undermine the Supreme Court’s role as a check on executive and legislative power. He argues that Harris’s proposals are not merely symbolic gestures but represent a real threat to the Court’s ability to function independently.
“They’re playing for keeps here,” Davis warns, suggesting that Harris, if elected president, would not hesitate to implement sweeping changes to the judiciary. This includes her plan to expand the number of justices, effectively allowing her to appoint judges who align with her political ideology.
According to Davis, Harris’s plan to impose term limits on Supreme Court justices further exemplifies her radical approach. While framed as a measure to enhance accountability, critics see this proposal as an attempt to cycle out justices who do not adhere to progressive viewpoints. Davis points out the irony in Biden and Harris pushing for such reforms given Biden’s long tenure in politics, highlighting the hypocrisy in their calls for term limits.
“Joe Biden and Kamala Harris want to pretend like the Supreme Court is corrupt,” Davis asserts, referencing recent controversies involving conservative justices. He argues that these accusations are strategically used to justify reforms enabling greater control over the judiciary.
“This is not about ethics; it’s about power,” Davis concludes, emphasizing that the Supreme Court’s integrity is being weaponized as part of a broader political strategy.
Harris’s history of utilizing social justice rhetoric to achieve policy goals adds another layer to this discussion. Her previous support for defunding the police illustrates her willingness to adopt controversial stances to push through transformative changes. Critics argue that this approach could similarly extend to her judicial reform efforts, where the pursuit of social justice may be used to justify actions that could weaken the Court’s independence.
The potential consequences of Harris’s proposed reforms are far-reaching. As Davis said, these changes could threaten the fundamental rights protected by the Supreme Court, including free speech, religious freedom, and the right to bear arms. The possibility of a court packed with ideologically aligned justices raises concerns about the erosion of checks and balances within the federal government.
