This is the story of a man I call the “Young Honey Badger” because of his unrelenting grit and refusal to back down, no matter the odds.

Brian’s story is one of resilience. Growing up in foster care, he faced challenges that would have overwhelmed many. After overcoming addiction in college, he rebuilt his life with unwavering determination. He honed his skills in construction under the mentorship of his uncle, who taught him not just a trade but the value of hard work and integrity. These experiences instilled in Brian an appreciation for perseverance and a deep commitment to the people of South Boston. He worked tirelessly to establish himself, eventually becoming a devoted family man and a leader in his community.

Brian’s passion for South Boston deepened as he saw gentrification displacing families who had called the neighborhood home for generations. Developers offered homeowners large sums for their properties, only to replace them with unaffordable condos. Many of Brian’s contemporaries in South Boston—where Irish families have lived for generations—are being monetarily forced out of their beloved neighborhood. These blue-collar families can no longer afford to buy homes in the community they helped build. Brian’s love for his community drove him into politics, starting with grassroots activism during the 2020 election cycle.

“Most of my work has been dedicated to encouraging civic engagement. I walk around Boston with my iPad, helping people register to vote because I believe in the importance of being actively engaged.” – Brian Foley 

A fierce advocate for President Trump, Brian organized flag waves, registered thousands of voters, and fought for election integrity. His bold presence on Boston’s streets made him a target, and he was attacked multiple times and hospitalized while rallying for his beliefs. Yet, like the honey badger, Brian remained undeterred.

A proud advocate for veterans, Brian co-founded with, a close friend, Daniel Kelly Breakfast 4 Vets, an initiative that provides meals, conversation, and a sense of community to homeless veterans. His tireless dedication to uplifting those in need reflects the values he champions—compassion, service, and unity. Whether helping veterans or rallying for civic engagement, Brian is always at the forefront, leading with his heart.

Brian is currently running for Boston City Council in District 2, determined to bring accountability and integrity back to city government. "The current city council has lost its way,” he says. "Corruption and self-interest have taken priority over the needs of our communities. It’s unacceptable.” His platform focuses on fighting corruption, reducing crime, and ensuring families can remain in their neighborhoods. He’s also committed to expanding resources for veterans and encouraging civic engagement.
