Alex Soros, the son of hard-Left billionaire George Soros, who now runs his father’s Open Society Foundations, which reportedly spends $1.5 billion a year on leftist causes around the world, endorsed President Joe Biden for re-election.
George Soros handed control over his $25 billion empire to his son last summer; last year Alex Soros had meetings with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) as well as Brazil’s leftist president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“Let’s stop running against ourselves and run against the existential threat that is Donald Trump! Biden-Harris 2024!” Alex Soros tweeted on Wednesday night.

After the presidential debate in which Biden’s performance catalyzed a drop in the polls, Soros quoted a title from an article in Bloomberg News, insisting, “Biden Narrows Gap With Trump in Swing States Despite Debate Loss.”

Despite the fact that his father has been a major force in promoting Left-wing causes around the world for decades, including backing radical Left-wing prosecutors in the United States, Alex Soros, who received his PhD in history from the University of California, Berkeley, insisted, “I’m more political than my father.”
In reference to George Soros, the Heritage Foundation reported in January 2023, “To date, Soros has shelled out more than $40 million on direct campaign spending in the past 10 years to elect rogue prosecutors. Those prosecutors have jurisdiction over 72 million Americans, including 25 of America’s 50 most populous cities and counties.”
In “Rogue Prosecutors: How Radical Soros Lawyers Are Destroying America’s Communities,” the authors wrote:
One of the ubiquitous myths peddled by rogue prosecutors, the Soros machine, and their enablers, like Fair and Just Prosecution, is that by “promoting a justice system grounded in fairness, equity, and compassion, and fiscal responsibility,” crime will go down over time. They argue, and would have voters believe, that their approach to prosecution protects the public both from crime and saves them money by reducing the need for expensive prisons and jails. The dangerous social experiment they have unleashed across the country includes a push to require that most persons charged with crimes be released immediately, regardless of their criminal record.
In 2004, George Soros spent more than $23 million to help Democrats win elections. In 2012, he donated $1 million to the super PAC Priorities USA Action, which backed President Barack Obama. In the 2020 presidential race, he gave “$500,000 to the Biden Victory Fund while sending millions more to super PACs backing him,” Fox News noted. In autumn 2023, he gave $250,000 to the Biden Victory Fund.
George Soros, a staunch foe of the state of Israel, reportedly helped fund the Israel-hating group Students for Justice in Palestine, which organized pro-Hamas protests after the October 7 massacre. As far back as 2007, Soros slammed the Bush administration and Israel for not working with Hamas.
