The Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives passed the Title IX CRA (Congressional Review Act) on Thursday, taking an important step toward overturning President Joe Biden’s recent rewrite of Title IX.

Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) celebrated the bill’s passage with a post on X, saying, “The House just passed my bill to protect girls’ sports by blocking Joe Biden’s radical Title IX rewrite. It’s a great day for our daughters and granddaughters, who deserve protection from Biden’s radical attempt to force men into their private spaces & athletics.”

Others joined her in cheering the victory, sharing their sentiments via X as well.

“BREAKING: Title IX CRA passes the House, one step closer to repealing Biden’s discriminatory Title IX rule that puts women & girls at risk!” The Independent Women’s Forum added. “Thank you @RepMaryMiller for introducing H.J.Res. 165 & fighting Biden’s radical efforts to redefine gender.”

In another post, the IWF stated, “We’ve come too far to be erased!”

“A win for women & girls, biological reality, common sense, and humanity!” former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines said.

In order to succeed in overturning Biden’s rewrite of Title IX — which applies the law’s protections to include gender identity rather than only biological sex and allows males into female-only spaces and athletic competitions — the Title IX CRA would also have to pass with a simple majority in the Democrat-controlled Senate, after which President Biden could still exercise his veto power.
