‘They Have A Couple Of Problems’: Trump Mocks Democrats From Michigan Rally Stage

Former President Donald Trump mocked the chaos in the Democratic Party as more and more prominent Democrats have come forward and called for President Joe Biden to exit the 2024 race.

Trump took the stage in Grand Rapids, Michigan, almost exactly one week after he was targeted and shot by a would-be assassin at a similar rally in Butler, Pennsylvania — and one of the first things he did was to pay tribute to hero firefighter Corey Comperatore, who was shot and killed at that rally when he shielded his family with his own body.

“Corey was a hero, and we will carry his memory in our hearts for all time, great hero,” Trump said, and the crowd erupted in chants of “Corey! Corey! Corey!”

Trump then turned his attention to Biden — and to the Democratic Party, which has been in varying states of disarray since Biden gave a dismal performance in the first debate and followed that up with a series of interviews and public appearances that did nothing to restore public confidence in his ability to continue the 2024 campaign, much less another four years in the presidency.

“Now we have something coming up where they’re going to go to the convention and they have a couple of problems. Number one, they have no idea who their candidate is, and neither do we. That’s a problem,” Trump said, prompting laughter from the audience.

“But we’ll see, hopefully they get it worked out,” he continued. “Sort of interesting, this guy goes and he gets the votes, and now they want to take it away — they talk about democracy, ‘Let’s take it away from him!'”
