One week after a would-be assassin made an attempt on former President Donald Trump’s life at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania — killing hero firefighter Corey Comperatore and seriously injuring two others in addition to Trump — thousands lined up to attend his next rally in Michigan.

Trump senior adviser Dan Scavino shared video of the former president preparing to board Trump Force One, headed for Grand Rapids, MI, for not only his first rally since the assassination attempt but his first rally alongside his newly-named running mate, Senator JD Vance (R-OH).

“Happening Now: President Trump boards Trump Force One, heading to the Great State of Michigan, for a rally in beautiful Grand Rapids!” he posted along with the video on X.

On the ground in Grand Rapids, videos and photos showed the thousands of Trump supporters who were already waiting to see the former president despite the recent attempt on his life.

“It’s 10:30am. The line to see President Trump and @JDVance1 is MASSIVE. Just thousands of people. Michigan is making a statement,” OANN’s Daniel Baldwin posted.

“Twenty year old Michigan voter at the Trump rally today: ‘This is a week after President Trump just got shot at. Just that is crazy. I know he will fight for this country,'” Baldwin added.

Former Assistant Treasury Secretary Monica Crowley added, “Tonight, President Trump and VP nominee @JDVance1 will hold their first rally together — and the first since the heinous assass*ination attempt — in Grand Rapids, Michigan. THOUSANDS are already in line. The passion & energy are fiercer than ever. Incredible.”

“Lots of chants of ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!'” a post from Life News noted.

With nearly three hours before the event was scheduled to begin, hundreds could already be seen filling the seats inside the Van Andel Arena as well.

“America is not afraid!” a post from Real America’s Voice added. “Thousands, including hundreds of first-time attendees, tell @BenBergquam there is no fear ahead of President Trump’s first public rally since the attempt on his life last week.”
