Trump Promises To Ban Men From Women’s Sports, End Biden’s Title IX Rewrite ‘On Day One’

Former President Donald Trump promised on Thursday that he would ban men competing in women’s sports, telling radio hosts Clay Travis and Buck Sexton that he planned to put an end to President Joe Biden’s Title IX rewrite “on day one.”

Travis shared the news in a post to X, saying, “President Trump just pledged to all of us on @clayandbuck that men will not be allowed to compete against women in sports when he is elected president. He promises to take care of it on day one and end Kamala and Biden’s new Title IX policies allowing this to happen.”

Trump also posted on Truth Social on Thursday, “I WILL KEEP MEN OUT OF WOMEN’S SPORTS!”

Trump’s promise comes on the heels of Olympic controversy after Italian Angela Carini pulled out of her fight with Algerian boxer Imane Khelif — who was disqualified from the 2023 world championships in New Delhi after the International Boxing Association declared that Khelif had “XY chromosomes” and elevated testosterone levels — after less than one minute.

As announced earlier in the summer, the official 2024 GOP platform addresses recent moves — supported by President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and a majority of elected Democrats — to allow trans-identifying males to compete in women’s athletics.

“We will keep men out of women’s sports, ban taxpayer funding for sex-change surgeries, and stop taxpayer-funded schools from promoting gender transition, reverse Biden’s radical rewrite of Title IX education regulations, and restore protections for women and girls.”
