President Joe Biden loves to pretend that his political rival former President Donald Trump hates U.S. troops. A transcript of a recent strategy call between Biden and several Democrats — including one Bronze Star congressman — however, suggests it’s the 81-year-old who has shown true contempt for veterans.
The exchange published in Puck documents Biden lashing out against members of the New Democrat Coalition after they questioned his disastrous debate performance and chances of a 2024 reelection. Rep. Jason Crow, a former Army Ranger who received a Bronze Star Medal for his role in the 82nd Airborne Division, received the bulk of Biden’s wrath after he “asked about the importance of national security to voters.”
The president then launched into a screed detailing why he believes Crow is “dead wrong on national security.”
“You saw what happened recently in terms of the meeting we had with NATO. I put NATO together. Name me a foreign leader who thinks I’m not the most effective leader in the world on foreign policy. Tell me! Tell me who the hell that is! Tell me who put NATO back together! Tell me who enlarged NATO, tell me who did the Pacific basin!”
The clincher came when Biden demanded Crow “Tell me who did something that you’ve never done with your Bronze Star like my son.”
While Biden did not repeat the lie that Beau Biden (who earned a Bronze Star after serving in Iraq) died in Iraq, as he has claimed several times before, the president did imply that Beau did more with his decoration than Crow, who served three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“And I’m proud of your leadership,” Biden couched. “But guess what, what’s happening, we’ve got Korea and Japan working together, I put Aukus together, anyway! … Things are in chaos, and I’m bringing some order to it. And again, find me a world leader who’s an ally of ours who doesn’t think I’m the most respected person they’ve ever—”
Crow interjected that “it’s not breaking through, Mr. President, to our voters,” but by then, Biden was already busy boasting about his inflated view of his foreign policy record and telling Crow that he “oughta talk about it.”
“On national security, nobody has been a better president than I’ve been. Name me one. Name me one! So I don’t want to hear that crap!” Biden continued.
Biden’s heated and “garbl[ed]” lecture is reminiscent of the fake news hoax Democrats and corporate media tried to project on Trump after a 2020 trip to France where he was scheduled to visit the graves of World War I soldiers.
The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg repeatedly claimed without evidence that Trump insulted the deceased service members by calling them “losers and suckers.” Goldberg suggested that Trump “did not believe it important to honor American war dead” and refused to visit the cemetery where they were buried because it would mess up his hair.
Nearly two dozen Trump White House officials debunked the hit piece, which only received “confirmation” from one source outside of Goldberg. Federalist Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway also clarified in her book “Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections” that Trump could not visit the burial grounds due to weather conditions and Secret Service stipulations on his means of travel.
Even the fake fact-checkers at Snopes admitted there is “no evidence of an audio or video recording of the remarks in question, nor was there any documentation, such as transcripts or presidential notes, to independently confirm or deny the alleged quotes’ authenticity.”
Yet, corporate media and Democrats have repeated the story as fact for the last four years. In 2024 alone, Biden used the hoax at least half a dozen times to fuel the narrative that Trump routinely disrespects American soldiers.
While Biden and his administration were busy amplifying a hoax about Trump, the Democrat was also busy lying about the circumstances of his son’s death and whitewashing the military deaths that happened under his watch.
Speaking of watches, it was Biden, not Trump, who appeared to check his timepiece at a transfer ceremony for the 13 U.S. service members who lost their lives thanks to his administration’s hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Biden’s track record of disrespecting veterans and fallen soldiers, combined with his recent outburst against Crow, tells a different story about the president than you’ll hear in White House press room and from the propaganda press. Unlike the Goldberg-led hoax against Trump, however, Biden’s scorn for the troops has been caught on camera and verified by multiple sources. In other words, it’s real.
