Longtime Democrat political operative James Carville erupted into yet another fiery tirade about his party’s messaging ahead of the 2024 election.

Carville — who is best known for coining the phrase “it’s the economy, stupid” to explain electoral success or lack there of — is livid with the Democratic Party’s dismissal of economic issues. Despite months of polling demonstrating that Americans do not have confidence in the economy or President Biden’s handling of it, the Biden campaign has dismissed polling while claiming that the economy is actually humming.

“The generational thievery that has occurred in this country is criminality of the first order. We keep wondering why these young people are not coming home to the Democrats. Why are blacks not coming home to the Democrats? Because Democrat messaging is full of sh*t, that’s why,” Carville said during a recent appearance on the Politicon podcast.

“And talk about cost of living, and we’re going to help deal with this. Don’t talk about fu**ing Gaza and student loans. That is so out.”

President Biden has continued to bleed support from demographics that were key to his victory in 2020, including younger voters and black voters.

According to an April survey from NBC News, Biden leads Trump among black voters with a 71% to 13% advantage, a massive decrease from 2020 highs. Black voter enthusiasm also appears to be down, as just 59% of black voters said they had significant interest in the 2024 election, down from 74% who said the same four years ago at a similar point in the race.

“Why are we forgiving student loans for people that go to Harvard? Which, according to Scott Galloway, quite accurately, is nothing but a hedge fund that has classrooms. Well, they got a $52 billion fu**ing surplus. Why are taxpayers going to bail these people out?” Carville ranted. “Why don’t you come out with a proposal to tax every university with an endowment of over $5 billion and use that money to give their former students relief?”

The veteran political strategist continued,

As for younger voters, a recent CNN poll found that an astonishing 81 percent of younger voters voiced disapproval of President Biden’s job performance.

“We all know where where we are. We all know the position we are in. We all know what the polls say. We all know how old President Biden is,” Carville said. “Quit fu**ing arguing what’s in front of your face and start laying something out.”
