A cast member of the popular “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” TV series has been dismissed after clashing off-screen with colleagues and speaking favorably about former President Donald Trump, raising questions about whether Hollywood is going to greater lengths to silence conservatives in an election year.
The Western Journal reports that Annemarie Wiley, who is married to former NFL defensive end Marcellus Wiley and joined the show for its thirteenth season, was let go after making it known she was part of MAGA nation and criticized the movement to incorporate transgender athletes in youth and collegiate sports.
“She was open and proud to be Team MAGA and a staunch Donald Trump supporter,” a source close to the show told the Daily Mail.
Wiley, 41, announced her departure from the show last Thursday, saying she was disappointed that viewers never got a chance to see the “real her” amidst pressure from producers to keep her on-screen antics focused on the opulence, outrage, and ostentatiousness of the rich and D-list famous celebrity life.
According to another source, 'AA cast member having polarizing views and the ladies taking her to task would have been part of a juicy storyline on any Real Housewives franchise, but after politics railroaded season 13 of the New York cast, producers just edited all of those segments out of the Beverly Hills season.”
As one of two Black cast members, Wiley served as a polarizing opposite to Eboni K Williams, 40, who regularly chastised her white counterparts about issues of race. Those debates proved unpopular with fans, causing producers to fan the flames of disputes like whether Wiley was wrong to call herself a doctor despite working as a nurse anesthesiologist.
The greatest beef, however, was between Wiley and Crystal Kung-Minkoff, 41, who sources say was “disgusted” with her love for Trump.
“Annemarie and Crystal Kung-Minkoff were at odds all season over Annemarie's misrepresenting she was a doctor, but Annemarie's politics really disgusted Crystal even more,” one source added. “The Chinese-American openly struggled to understand why a woman of color would be aligned with Trump, who has made racist comments about various nationalities and colors.”
However, Wiley did not hide those beliefs in order to make the cut originally, they added.
“One of the few things Annemarie didn't lie about during the taping of the show was her political beliefs. She was open and proud to be Team MAGA and a staunch Donald Trump supporter.”
Last year, Wiley made waves among cast members when her husband voiced his displeasure with pro-transgender policies in youth sports.
“I have no issue with transgenders, but I do have an issue with athletes who are transgender women trying to compete against biological women. Not against the Wiley Women!” Marcellus said in an X post. “Why can't the dudes who transition to women actually empower women by competing against men?”
Others in Hollywood recently facing the wrath of liberals include Golden Globes host Jim Gaffigan, who stunned the audience when he called out pedophiles among the elites back in January. Just weeks ago, “Yellowstone” cast member Forrie J. Smith claimed he was booted from a flight after refusing to sit next to a masked passenger.
