Former President Donald Trump was greeted by an absolutely electric crowd when he took the stage for a historic rally in The Bronx, New York on Thursday.
Upon entering the rally ground in Crotona Park against the backdrop of his longtime entry song, “God Bless The USA,” Trump was greeted with chants of “USA! and “we love Trump!” Crowds had been lining up across multiple city blocks for hours ahead of the former president's arrival.
Trump has been stuck in New York City on weekdays throughout the last month after Judge Juan Merchan ordered him to attend every day of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's bogus criminal case against him.
After taking the stage in his hometown shortly before 6:30 p.m., an energetic Trump told the crowd that he was thrilled to be addressing his supporters in New York.

“Hello everybody, thank you very much. This is some turnout!” Trump told the crowd. “And I want to thank New York's finest, they just brought a lot of additions, we have people, thousands of people outside that can't even get in, but they'll get in eventually, we appreciate it. New York's finest,” he continued before giving it up for the NYPD and FDNY.
“Hello, New York City, and hello to all of the incredible, tough, strong, hardworking American patriots right here in the Bronx. Who would think? Who would think? I'm thrilled to be back in the city I grew up in, the city I spent my life in, the city I helped build, and the city that we all love, New York City,” Trump continued.
“And I'm here tonight to declare that we are going to turn New York City around and we are going to turn it around very, very quickly!”
Trump was forced to pause at multiple points throughout the first twenty minutes of his speech, and beyond, as the crowd continued to erupt into pro-Trump chants. Every five minutes or so, the crowd would belt out chants such as “we love Trump,” USA” and “four more years!”
The crowd had a polar opposite reaction when Trump drew attention to President Biden, however.
“I have come tonight, to talk about solving problems. The simple fact is, Joe Biden is not getting the job done for the Bronx,” Trump said, causing the crowd to erupt into loud boos when Biden was mentioned. “He's not getting the job done for New York, and he's not getting the job done for America. He is incompetent, ladies and gentlemen. He is incompetent.”
The presidential frontrunner went on to once again vow to clean up both New York City and the country as a whole, saying “if a New Yorker can't save this country, no-one can.”
