‘Cease and desist’: Trump’s warns of ‘long term prison sentences’ for election fraud

Former President Donald Trump on Oct. 25 again warned that this year’s presidential election will receive the “closest professional scrutiny” and that the hammer of restored justice will fall for anyone who violates the law after he takes office.

“I, together with many Attorneys and Legal Scholars, am watching the Sanctity of the 2024 Presidential Election very closely,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social statement.

‘Those involved in unscrupulous behavior will be sought out, caught, and prosecuted at levels, unfortunately, never seen before in our Country.’

He termed the “rampant Cheating and Skullduggery” by the Democrats in the 2020 presidential election “a Disgrace to our Nation.”
Trump said he intends to prosecute anyone committing election fraud “to the fullest extent of the Law, which will include long term prison sentences.”

The former president and most of the attorney who supported his efforts to investiage allegations of fraud and irregularities were subjected to well-financed “lawfare” for challenging the election’s outcome. However the real legal exposure extends to lawyers, “political operatives, donors, …. and corrupt election officials.”

“Those involved in unscrupulous behavior will be sought out, caught, and prosecuted at levels, unfortunately, never seen before in our Country,” he wrote.

A Gallup poll, released on Oct. 24, found that 84 percent of American adults support voter ID measures, marking an increase from the 80 percent who expressed support for the measure ahead of the 2016 election, and the 79 percent who backed it during the 2022 midterm elections. Also, 83 percent supported requiring proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote.

Only 37 percent of those surveyed believe the 2024 election will be fair, according to a poll from Public Affairs Council/Morning Consult.
Election fraud under 52 U.S.C. § 20511 applies to individuals who knowingly and willfully submit false voter registration applications, cast fraudulent ballots, or tabulate votes known to be materially false or fraudulent and include fines or imprisonment for up to five years, or both.

Trump posted:

CEASE & DESIST: I, together with many Attorneys and Legal Scholars, am watching the Sanctity of the 2024 Presidential Election very closely because I know, better than most, the rampant Cheating and Skullduggery that has taken place by the Democrats in the 2020 Presidential Election. It was a Disgrace to our Nation! Therefore, the 2024 Election, where Votes have just started being cast, will be under the closest professional scrutiny and, WHEN I WIN, those people that CHEATED will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law, which will include long term prison sentences so that this Depravity of Justice does not happen again. We cannot let our Country further devolve into a Third World Nation, AND WE WON’T! Please beware that this legal exposure extends to Lawyers, Political Operatives, Donors, Illegal Voters, & Corrupt Election Officials. Those involved in unscrupulous behavior will be sought out, caught, and prosecuted at levels, unfortunately, never seen before in our Country.
