Entrepreneur demands ‘immediate compensation’ for conservative media from Silicon Valley

by WorldTribune Staff, June 1, 2025 Real World News

For two decades, Big Tech companies have censored and suppressed alternative and conservative media, including WorldTribune.com, and costing the outlets billions in revenue.

Larry Ward: ‘I write today not as a partisan, but as an American entrepreneur who has witnessed firsthand the systematic exclusion of half our nation’s perspectives from the digital public square.’

Larry Ward, the founder of Market Rithm, who has spent three decades building technology infrastructure for conservative media and organizations, is calling for a solution that “requires both immediate action and structural reform.”

And “immediate compensation.”

In a May 30 op-ed for Human Events, Ward said the framework for such compensation should serve to fill in entire missing sections of the information spectrum and include:

• Archive Licensing: One-time payments for complete digital archives, with rates reflecting both market value and compensatory damages for years of suppression.

• Ongoing Content Licensing: Per-article payments for all new content used in AI training, at or above market rates.

• Premium Rates: Enhanced compensation reflecting the scarcity value created by years of artificial suppression.

The bias crisis is “documented and undeniable” and, now, “every major AI system today demonstrates clear left-wing bias in its responses,” Ward added. “This isn’t opinion—it’s a measurable fact. From ChatGPT’s reluctance to generate conservative content to Google’s tendency to inject progressive framing into neutral queries, AI systems consistently reflect the worldview of their predominantly liberal creators and training data.”

Ward continued: “For AI to serve all Americans, it must be trained on content that represents all Americans. This isn’t about political correctness—it’s about accuracy, completeness, and national unity.

“This isn’t about government mandates — it’s about market justice. Conservative publications have built audiences of millions, created valuable content, and maintained credibility despite systematic suppression. That content has clear market value for AI training.

“Silicon Valley companies should be competing to secure licensing deals with conservative media, not because government forces them to, but because their AI systems will be better, more accurate, and more trusted when they reflect the full spectrum of American thought.”

The Trump Administration “has the opportunity to address a fundamental imbalance that threatens both technological progress and national unity,” Ward wrote.

Proposed framework:

• Restore Justice: Compensate conservative media for years of discrimination.

• Improve AI: Create more balanced, accurate, and trustworthy systems.

• Strengthen America: Ensure our AI reflects our full national character.

• Build Trust: Demonstrate that the AI revolution will benefit all Americans.
