Videos of Trump Derangement Syndrome meltdowns following the results of the Nov. 5 election have become quite popular on YouTube and throughout social media.
The despair on the Left is deep. Too many appear to have placed much too much confidence in the major media, which had assured them that Kamala Harris was going to sweep to victory. Outside of that media bubble, however, it was a much different story to anyone paying attention to the actual voter sentiment nationwide.
Republican strategist and pollster Kellyanne Conway, a senior adviser in the first Trump Administration, walked into one of those Trump Derangement Syndrome disaster zones on Tuesday night and had one message for the triggered:
“Calm the hell down already,” Conway told the crowd during a 90-minute session at Harvard University’s Institute of Politics in Cambridge, Massachusetts (see video below).
“Unfortunately, Trump Derangement Syndrome is real,” Conway said. “You all know someone afflicted by it. It’s stage five. It wrecks the nervous system. It addles the brain. There is no vaccine, cure, or therapeutic. But you all have a role in helping people unwind from it. Sunshine, sunlight, maybe someone in their life who has a different point of view.”
Of the Harris campaign’s main tactic, Conway said: “I’ll tell you what didn’t work. ‘Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump.’ Trump is the adjective, the noun, the adverb. The ‘Trump, Trump, Trump.’ It just didn’t work, and so I respectfully don’t think it’s going to work as he tries to govern.”
Trump has been given a rare second chance and is working overtime to get the new administration up and running, Conway said.
“In this life, we all get second chances. We hope we do. But I can’t think of a second chance quite as large as the one he’s getting, all things considered,” she said.
Conway also called out the legacy media: “The media, who I guess just has a whole living on getting elections wrong, on that they’re consistent. They have a horrible record.”
Timely: Defund Fake News
Speaking of legacy media, MSNBC’s ratings have sunk by more than 50% since Trump’s decisive victory over Harris.
And this week was even worse the network, The Daily Caller’s John Loftus noted:
“The no-good, rotten week kicked off with a shocking announcement from their two biggest names, Joe Scarborough and his wife, Mika Brzezinski, hosts of ‘Morning Joe.’ After comparing President-elect Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler for Lord knows how long, the husband-wife hosting duo told their viewers Monday morning that they had a meeting with Hitler at his bunker in Mar-a-Lago. Some loyal viewers vowed never to watch the show again, and even one of their colleagues vented on Twitter after the announcement, dropping a literal ‘Period’ to underscore her frustration with the ‘Morning Joe’ personalities. How could you ever normalize a dictator as brutal and conniving as Trump?!
“Then, on Wednesday, cable giant Comcast announced its plan to spin off channels MSNBC and CNBC, among others, which no one watches, either. Once viewed as highly valuable, shiny little jewels of television, both MSNBC and CNBC are losing value — and losing it rather rapidly. How many savvy investors are going to look at this new subsidiary and say, ‘Wowza, that MSNBC channel has a ton of value! What an amazing product! That unhinged Race Lady Joy Reid has so much talent!’ You already know the answer. Now that MSNBC will have to survive in the marketplace without corporate daddy, the channel is all but doomed.
“The cherry on top is the brewing ethics scandal involving the Reverend Al Sharpton, first reported by The Washington Free Beacon. Before a softball interview with Sharpton on MSNBC, Kamala Harris’s campaign gave two payments of $250,000 to National Action Network, Sharpton’s nonprofit, on Sept. 5 and Oct. 1, according to campaign finance documents. Sharpton conducted his interview with Harris on Oct. 20. Of course, he apparently did not disclose any such payments before or during the chat with the vice president.”
