  • Retail trade employment edged down by 9,000 jobs in June,   Losing sectors included furniture, home furnishings, electronics and appliance retailers, which shed 6,000 jobs over the month, while gainers included warehouse clubs, supercenters and other general merchandise retailers, which gained 5,000 positions.

    Radio Station Says Biden Campaign Pressured It Into Editing Biden Interview After He Used The Term ‘Blacks’

  • A Milwaukee radio station agreed to edit a radio interview with President Joe Biden after he used the term “blacks,” according to a statement from Civic Media, a Wisconsin-based left-wing talk show network.
  • The station removed two short segments from the interview Biden did with host Earl Ingram that aired on July 4 at the request of the president’s campaign, according to Civic Media’s statement.
  • “In the interest of transparency, and consistent with Civic Media’s mission and core values, we are sharing the edited segments now, and making the full, unedited interview available,” Civic Media said. “Given the gravity of the current political moment, the stakes in this election, and the importance of public scrutiny of public officials in the highest office, we believe it is important to share this information.”

    BREAKING: Senator Chuck Grassley Releases Shocking Records Confirming HHS Placed Children to Sponsors Linked to MS-13 Gang 

  • Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has made public shocking internal records from the Biden regime’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), indicating that the HHS knowingly placed two unaccompanied migrant children into a household associated with the notorious MS-13 gang.

    Records show on September 3, 2021, an HHS UC staff member sought to intervene in the transfer of a female unaccompanied minor to a sponsor who formerly maintained a romantic partnership with an MS-13 gang member. HHS officials dismissed concerns regarding the sponsor’s MS-13 ties and transferred the girl to the flagged sponsor the following day.

    Records further document the staff member’s repeated follow-up attempts to prevent the sponsor’s unaccompanied minor son from being sent to the same household. The boy’s father was an official member of the MS-13 gang and had received a lengthy prison sentence for gang-related crimes. According to records and supporting whistleblower statements, HHS again rejected the staff member’s flags and transferred the boy.

    The records corroborate whistleblower statements delivered during a Senate roundtable this week. Shortly after speaking out in September 2021, the whistleblower who raised concerns regarding the MS-13-related sponsors was taken off the case, her credentials were revoked and she was walked off her work site by a top HHS official.

  • The number of firearm-related deaths for children aged 0-17 was 2,281 in 2020, while the number of motor vehicle deaths for the same ages was 2,503.

    Colorado Governor Declares Disaster Emergency Over Bird Flu Outbreak

  • Colorado Gov. Jared Polis issued an emergency disaster declaration in his state over an outbreak of highly pathogenic bird flu in northeastern Weld County as officials recently reported that 1.8 million chickens were impacted by the virus
  • The governor “verbally” declared a disaster after “an avian flu outbreak in a commercial poultry facility in Weld County,” according to a statement from his office issued on July 8. Mr. Polis’s office did not name the facility that was impacted by the outbreak.
  • The declaration means that Colorado can use its emergency powers to “take all necessary and appropriate state actions to assist with response, recovery, and mitigation efforts.”

  • Whether his release is effective as to all of his delegates depends on several factors
  •   Rule 13(J) of the Delegate Selection Rules for the 2024 Democratic National Convention states: “Delegates elected to the national convention pledged to a presidential candidate shall in all good conscience reflect the sentiments of those who elected them.”
  • The rule is vague.  Is it referring to the “sentiments” at the time the delegate was selected or at the time the delegate votes?  Does the rule allow a delegate to vote for a candidate other than the one to whom the delegate was pledged when the delegate was selected if the delegate sincerely believes that another candidate would be better for the Democrat party and the country? 
  •  Elaine Kamarck at the Brookings Institution writes: “There is no definition, nor is there any history about what constitutes “in all good conscience.”  Few, if any, delegates to recent conventions have ever sought to test it.”  It may be that Rule 13(J) is sufficiently vague to allow any delegate to vote for any candidate on the first ballot.
  • Some states have laws that govern how a delegate can vote.  Ballotpedia has a table citing such laws.  Some states have laws requiring that a delegate vote for the candidate for whom the delegate was pledged.  Other states are silent on the topic.  Some states require that a candidate’s release of delegates must be in writing.  One example is Section 9-485(c) of the General Statutes of Connecticut.  Another issue is whether state laws can override the Democrat party rules.
  • Democratic Convention delegates pledged to vote for Biden on the first ballot may be able to vote for somebody else because of the vague nature of Rule 13(J), as long as there is no effective state law requiring otherwise.  Delegates who are bound to vote for Biden on the first ballot, in states that allow an oral release by the candidate, have been released by Biden.

This latest batch of customer data includes “records of customer call and text interactions” that occurred “between approximately May 1 and October 31, 2022, as well as on January 2, 2023,” the company wrote in a regulatory filing Friday.
  • AT&T said the data does not include “content of calls or texts, personal information such as Social Security numbers, dates of birth, or other personally identifiable information,” but noted the data does include “periods of time, records of calls and texts of nearly all of AT&T’s wireless customers and customers of mobile virtual network operators (“MVNO”) using AT&T’s wireless network.”
