We’ve been accidentally cooling the planet — and it’s about to stop

It is widely accepted that humans have been heating up the planet for over a century by burning coal, oil and gas. Earth has already warmed by almost 1.2 degrees Celsius (2.2 degrees Fahrenheit) since preindustrial times, and the planet is poised to race past the hoped-for limit of 1.5 degrees Celsius of warming.

But fewer people know that burning fossil fuels doesn’t just cause global warming – it also causes global cooling. It is one of the great ironies of climate change that air pollution, which has killed tens of millions, has also curbed some of the worst effects of a warming planet.

Breaking: Supreme Court Rules Horribly on Most Important Free Speech Case in a Century – Murthy v. Missouri with Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft as 1 of 5 Top Plaintiffs Is Rejected by Court

 

In a stunning 6-3 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that the Biden Administration’s policy of deleting, suppressing, and deplatforming specific people, topics, and ideas, is immune from suit leaving no one able to challenge it in court.

The ruling, written by Justice Amy Coney Barrett, came down with the following key decision: “Neither the individual nor the state plaintiffs have established Article III standing to seek an injunction against any defendant.”

In sum, the court rules that the two different types of parties, states and individuals harmed by these government policies, do not have ‘standing’ to sue. This case procedurally related to the request for a preliminary injunction for the government to stop the censorship regime while the case was going on.

This decision will make the trial court action in this case more difficult but, insiders say, not impossible. “It’s a horrible decision, but the underlying case at the lower court marches forward

Biden is a threat to free speech. Trump should call him on it.

Donald Trump and other presidential candidates are missing a compelling argument going into this election. While democracy is not on the ballot, free speech is.

The 2024 election is looking strikingly similar to the election of 1800 and, if so, it does not bode well for Biden.

One of the greatest villains in that history was President John Adams, who used the Alien and Sedition Acts to arrest his political opponents – including journalists, members of Congress and others. Many of those prosecuted by the Adams administration were Jeffersonians. In the election of 1800, Thomas Jefferson ran on the issue and defeated Adams.

Free speech is again on the ballot. It is time for the public to decide.

Biden admin moves to allow deployment of US military contractors in Ukraine: report

 The Biden administration is reportedly moving toward allowing American military contractors to be deployed to Ukraine to aid the country in maintaining and repairing weapons systems provided by the US.

The policy is still being worked on, four US officials familiar with the matter told CNN, and has not been signed off on by Biden.

Officials said that the change would likely be implemented this year after its approval and would let the Pentagon give contracts to American companies so they can work inside Ukraine. This marks the first time this would occur since Russia invaded the Eastern European nation in 2022.

The officials said the hope is that it the move would speed maintenance and repairs of US weapons systems being used by the Ukrainian military. This equipment currently has to be transported to NATO countries like Poland or Romania to be repaired. One such system that will require regular repairs and maintenance is the F-16 fighter jet, officials said, which are set to arrive in Ukraine later this year. Biden previously promised not to send fighter jets to Ukraine.
