Despite the supposedly catastrophic threat of global warming, cold weather-related deaths across the United States are on the rise.
According to a study published in The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), the number of Americans who have died from the cold has doubled between the period of 1999 to 2022.
Dr. Rishi Wadhera, an associate professor of health policy and management at Harvard University, and his team conducted a study revealing the need for “public health interventions to improve access to warming centers and indoor heating for vulnerable populations.”
The research analyzed U.S. death certificates for over 63.5 million Americans who died between 1999 and 2022.
During that time, exposure to cold temperatures was identified as a direct or contributing factor in 0.06% of deaths.
The study found that the rate of cold-related deaths more than doubled over the 23-year period, increasing from 0.44 deaths per 100,000 people in 1999 to 0.92 deaths per 100,000 in 2022.
This amounts to an annual rise of 3.4% in cold-related mortality.

Russia unleashed a massive aerial attack using missiles and drones on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

The Constitution provides that an oath-breaking insurrectionist is ineligible to be president. This is the plain wording of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution.
“No person shall … hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath … to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”
The article goes on to cite legal arguments and historical precedents that would make this constitutional.
While the authors admit that such a plan is unlikely, they argue that Democrats still need to “take a stand” and nullify the results of the 2024 presidential election in which Trump delivered a landslide victory.
Under their dastardly plan, Kamala Harris would then be “elected president” and seize control of the White House.

To make an objection under the Count Act requires a petition signed by 20 percent of the members of each House. If the objection is sustained by majority vote in each house, the vote is not counted and the number of votes required to be elected is reduced by the number of disqualified votes. If all votes for Trump were not counted, Kamala Harris would be elected president.
The unlikelihood of congressional Republicans doing anything that might elect Harris as president is obvious. But Democrats need to take a stand against Electoral College votes for a person disqualified by the Constitution from holding office unless and until this disability is removed. No less is required by their oath to support and defend the Constitution.
