Ford Announces Billions of Dollars in Losses on Electric Vehicle Range—Worse Than Expected

There is more bad news for electric vehicle manufacturers.

After declaring its annual results a success, Ford has revealed that it incurred a loss of $4.7 billion on its electric vehicle range, more than the $4.5 billion the company predicted in the middle of last year.

The company's annual summary states:

Ford Model e’s wholesales and revenue were both up at double-digit full-year rates. The startup segment incurred a full-year EBIT loss of $4.7 billion, reflecting an extremely competitive pricing environment, along with strategic investments in the development of clean-sheet, nextgeneration EVs.Sales volumes of the F-150 Lightning pickup and Mustang Mach-E SUV both were up yearover-year and respectively the top-selling electric pickup and No. 3 most popular EV of any typein the U.S. for 2023.

Toyota announced that at the end of their fiscal year in March, they expect to see an annual profit of roughly $30 billion, and they are chalking it up to one very wise decision. Instead of going all in on completely electric vehicles, Toyota went with stressing its hybrid vehicles. Proof that the decision paid off could be seen in Toyota stock prices. Toyota shares rose almost 50 percent in the last year, while many of the electric models produced by other manufacturers sit on dealership lots and sales lag.

For the first time in more than 20 years, the United States purchased more goods from Mexico than China in 2023, highlighting a change in international trade and spotlighting America’s de-risking efforts.

Biden classified document probe ends without charges

Attorney General Merrick Garland notified Congress that the special counsel had concluded his investigation.

An independent investigation into classified documents found at the home of President Joe Biden and a think tank office he used has concluded, a letter sent to Congress on Wednesday said, without indication of any criminal charges being brought.

The attorney general said Hur filed his final report Monday and the bulk of it is expected to be made public soon.

Hawaii Supreme Court Controversially Rejects Second Amendment Right, Rules “In Hawaii, There is No State Constitutional Right to Carry a Firearm in Public”

The Supreme Court of Hawaii ruled against Christopher Wilson, a man charged with carrying a gun without a permit, asserting that under the state’s constitution, there is no right to bear arms in public.

This ruling overturns a lower court’s decision, which had aligned with Wilson’s Second Amendment defense, particularly in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark rulings in District of Columbia v. Heller (2008) and New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen (2022).

The lower court ruled that prosecuting Wilson would violate his Second Amendment rights.

His legal defense, referencing the recent Bruen decision, was initially successful in the Circuit Court of the Second Circuit. However, the state’s supreme court’s decision to reverse this ruling, asserting that Hawaii does not recognize a constitutional right to carry firearms in public, strikes many as a blatant disregard for established federal jurisprudence on the Second Amendment.

“Article I, section 17 of the Hawaiʻi Constitution mirrors the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution,” the Hawaiian court wrote in Hawaii v. Wilson, according to The Reload. “We read those words differently than the current United States Supreme Court. We hold that in Hawaiʻi there is no state constitutional right to carry a firearm in public.”

Five U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) members aboard a helicopter that went missing on a flight from Nevada to California were confirmed dead Thursday morning.

A search-and-rescue operation was launched for the CH-53E Super Stallion after it was “reported overdue” on Wednesday, as Breitbart News reported.

Former Top Baltimore Prosecutor Marilyn Mosby Who Previously Threatened to Prosecute Federal Agents Sent by Trump to Stop BLM Riots, Found GUILTY in Mortagage Fraud

In 2016, President Trump called for Mosby to “prosecute herself” after all six charges she brought against the six police officers accused in the death of Freddie Gray were dropped.

Former top Baltimore prosecutor Marilyn Mosby was found guilty on one count of mortgage fraud.

Mosby, who previously served two terms as the State’s Attorney for Baltimore, was found guilty of mortgage fraud after testifying that she made false statements on loan applications in order to buy two vacation homes in Florida.

In November, Mosby was found guilty of two federal counts of perjury after falsely claiming she had financial hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to access funds from the city’s retirement fund.

Mosby has yet to be sentenced in either case.

Democrat Marianne Williamson Drops Out of 2024 Presidential Race

Democrat presidential candidate Marianne Williamson suspended her campaign Wednesday.

The suspension came one day after Williamson failed to be competitive in Tuesday’s Nevada primary.

Williamson collected 3,200 votes, just 2.9 percent, compared to Biden’s 89.3 percent.

“In New Hampshire she received around 5,000 votes or 4 percent of the total. In South Carolina, she got around 2,700 votes and 2.1 percent of the vote,” the Daily Mail reports.

Biden told a crowd of donors in New York on Wednesday that he had recently spoken to German Chancellor Helmut Kohl — who has been dead for seven years — during a Group of Seven (G7) summit 2021, in an apparent mix-up with former Chancellor Angela Merkel, according to Bloomberg. Biden made a similar mistake when he said Sunday that he had met with French President François Mitterrand at the G7 summit, who has been dead for almost three decades.And then Helmut Kohl turned to me and said, ‘What would you say, Mr. President, if you picked up the London Times and learned that a thousand people had broken down the doors of the British Parliament, killed some bobbies on the way in, to deny the prime minister to take office?” Biden told a crowd of donors on Wednesday, according to Bloomberg.Biden then attended another New York fundraising event later on Wednesday and repeated the same story, once again appearing to mix up Kohl with Merkel. New Report Reveals Trump Would Have Won in 26 out of 29 Mail-in Ballot Fraud Scenarios During 2020 Election

During the run-up to the 2020 Presidential Election, election processes were changed to roll out “no excuse mail-in voting.” Some states even went as far as sending ballots to every voter on the voter registration roll. Most of these changes were made without the consent of the state legislatures, as mandated by the US Constitution in Article 1, Section 4, Clause 1.

As a result of this, the number of mail-in ballots cast, according to the US Elections Assistance Commission, went from 33 million mail-in ballots in 2016 to approximately 65.5 million in the 2020 Election, despite warnings from a 2005 bipartisan report from President Jimmy Carter and former US Secretary of State James Baker in 2005 that stated mail-in balloting was “one of the major sources of fraud.”

Last December, the author of the report, the Heartland Institute, partnered with Rasmussen Reports to conduct a poll of 1,085 people who voted in the 2020 Presidential Election. The results were shocking. The Gateway Pundit covered this poll as well as some of the warnings issued in the build-up to the 2020 Election.

The Heartland Institute took the polling results a step further: they measured “the effect of mail-in ballot fraud in the Trump-Biden race for the White House” through their report, titled “Who Really Won the 2020 Election?”

Spoiler Alert: President Trump wins outright in 26 of the 29 scenarios. If you include a tie-breaker, Trump wins 27 out of 29.

Before reporting the results of the individual assessments of swing-state races based on varying levels of fraud, it is worth acknowledging the results of Heartland’s poll with Rasmussen that formed the basis of their assessments.

In a poll of 1085 voters in the 2020 Election, 30% responded they voted by mail. Of those:

21% of mail-in voters admitted that in 2020 they voted in a state where they are “no longer a permanent resident”

21% of mail-in voters admitted that they filled out a ballot for a friend or family member

17% of mail-in voters said they signed a ballot for a friend or family member “with or without his or her permission”

19% of mail-in voters said that a friend of family member filled out their ballot, in part or in full, on their behalf

The report’s analysts were able to determine that “28.2% of respondents who voted by mail admitted to committing at least one kid of voter fraud”:

After analyzing the raw survey data, we were also able to conclude that 28.2 percent of respondents
who voted by mail admitted to committing at least one kind of voter fraud. This means that more than
one-in-four ballots cast by mail in 2020 were likely cast fraudulently, and thus should not have been
counted.

The report concludes that “even if the level of fraud shown by our survey (28.2 percent of all mail-in ballots) substantially overstates the true level of fraud that occurred, Trump would still have won in most of the likely scenarios, with only three exceptions.” The authors claim they have “no reason to believe that [their] survey overstated voter fraud by more than 25 percentage points”.

Supreme Court Justices Shred Colorado’s Case to Get Trump Kicked Off Election Ballot

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley on Thursday criticized Colorado lawyer Jason Murray’s performance in his argument to remove former President Donald Trump from the ballot in front of the Supreme Court.

The Colorado Supreme Court ruled in a 4-3 decision in December to eliminate Trump from the state’s ballot for the 2024 election under the 14th Amendment’s Section 3 “insurrectionist” clause. Murray argued on behalf of Colorado but did not do a convincing job answering challenging questions, Turley asserted on Fox News’ “America Reports.”
