Officials at the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP) called police Monday in a failed effort to block personnel from Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from entering their Washington headquarters.

Former USIP officials insisted DOGE had no authority to enter the building and remove its staff, claiming the institute operates independently of executive branch control despite operating almost entirely on federal funding. USIP, established by Congress in 1984, claims its mission is to “prevent violent conflicts and broker peace deals abroad,” despite the U.S. having been involved in numerous military interventions, prolonged wars and rising global instability in the decades since.

“DOGE has broken into our building,” George Moose, USIP’s acting president until his dismissal last week, told reporters Monday. “What has happened here is an illegal takeover by elements of the executive branch of a private non-profit.”

The confrontation comes after President Donald Trump replaced the institute’s leadership via executive order last week — a directive eliminating the “non-statutory components and functions” of various government entities — and appointed Kenneth Jackson as acting president, who arrived alongside DOGE representatives and law enforcement.

“The idea began during the Cold War as a modest proposal with $4 million in seed money,” they wrote. “But the organization received government funding year after year essentially because it had been funded the year before — and because it had important allies.”

“Eleven board members were lawfully removed, and remaining board members appointed Kenneth Jackson acting president,” White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told the the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Rogue bureaucrats will not be allowed to hold agencies hostage. The Trump administration will enforce the President’s executive authority and ensure his agencies remain accountable to the American people.”

He does have to hold good on his threats, otherwise what good are his threats? Hopefully this mess that the Biden regime created can eventually be resolved without further escalation, but today was not a great day for peace. Trump is scheduled to speak on the phone with Putin tomorrow, and Putin has been trying to broker an agreement between the US and Iran, so perhaps diplomacy can still win in the end, but for now things are looking dicey. Hopefully Trump can utilize his leverage to come to a solution that doesn’t require war.

Such a close familial relationship brings into question how the judge may render decisions and how his decisions may impact the professional career of his daughter, who’s employment is based upon defending criminal illegal aliens, gang members, and opposing mass deportations.

It seems that Judge Boasberg has a clear conflict of interest & is obligated to recuse himself from this case, as outlined in the Code of Conduct for United States Judges, which specifies the circumstances under which a judge must disqualify themselves from a proceeding.

The disqualification clause states the following: “A judge shall disqualify himself or herself in a proceeding in which the judge’s impartiality might reasonably be questioned, including but not limited to instances in which: The judge or the judge’s spouse, or a person related to either within the third degree of relationship, or the spouse of such a person is: Known by the judge to have an interest that could be substantially affected by the outcome of the proceeding.”

The mass deportation of criminal illegal aliens and gang members could lead to a substantial reduction in urban crime rates, potentially decreasing the caseload for Partners for Justice, while also reducing gang-related incidents that may, in turn, diminish funding opportunities for Partners For Justice from U.S. government grants and private foundations. Judge Boasberg MUST RECUSE HIMSELF! Given his daughter’s employment at a group that advocates for criminal illegal Aliens & is funded by US Government grants, Judge Boasberg should not be granted any sensitive information about deportation flights. His family is a national security threat.
