WHITE HOUSE GUTS NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL IN 30-MINUTE PURGE
ADVERTISEMENTMore than 100 National Security Council staffers were placed on administrative leave today in a sweeping shakeup led by Secretary of State Rubio and National Security Advisor Rubio.
A 4:20 p.m. email from the NSC chief of staff gave affected personnel 30 minutes to clean out desks.
Off-campus staff were told to schedule pickup and return devices.
The move follows this month’s firing of former advisor Waltz and others, after accusations of being “disloyal” or off-message with the administration’s “America First” agenda.
The council’s structure is now reportedly being rebuilt from scratch.

JUST IN: Interim National Security Adviser and Secretary of State Marco Rubio has placed over 100 officials at the National Security Council at the White House on administrative leave on Friday, according to CNN.“An email from NSC chief of staff Brian McCormack went out around 4:20 p.m. informing those being dismissed they’d have 30 minutes to clean out their desks, according to an administration official. If they weren’t on campus, the email read, they could email an address and arrange a time to retrieve their stuff later and turn in devices.”“The email subject line read: “Your return to home agency,” indicating that most of those affected were detailed to the NSC from other departments and agencies.”“Those put on leave include career officials, as well as political hires made during the Trump administration,” CNN reports.Marco Rubio has been by far Trump’s best cabinet selection.
President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are spearheading plans to overhaul the National Security Council and shift its main functions to other agencies like the State and Defense departments.
The move is the latest effort to slim down a federal agency and comes weeks after Trump announced former National Security Advisor Mike Waltz would depart his post at the White House overseeing the agency.
Trump announced the same day that Waltz was nominated to serve as United Nations ambassador.
The plans to upend the agency would include whittling down the size of the National Security Council, which the Trump White House believes is full of long-term, bureaucratic staffers who don’t align with Trump’s agenda.
ADVERTISEMENTAdditionally, the restructuring will move Andy Barker, national security advisor to Vice President JD Vance, and Robert Gabriel, assistant to the president for policy, into roles serving as deputy national security advisors.
Axios was the first to report the Trump administration’s restructuring plans. A White House official confirmed Axios’ reporting to Fox News Digital.
A White House official involved in the planning said Trump and Rubio are driving the change in an attempt to target Washington’s so-called “Deep State.”
“The NSC is the ultimate Deep State. It’s Marco vs. the Deep State. We’re gutting the Deep State,” a White House official told Axios.
I’m all for this!
Keep up the good work!
