Trump Admin ENDS USDA Bird Flu Gain-of-Function Research Project with China

The Trump administration has just cut a highly controversial USDA bird flu gain-of-research program.

Underneath the Biden regime, the USDA was collaborating with a Chinese laboratory linked to the Wuhan Institute of Virology on a project that involved infecting animals with new bird flu viruses to see if could transmit between them.

Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, right?!

Now, President Trump’s Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollings just confirmed that the partnership has been cut, in response to a question from Rep. Ben Cline during a recent hearing.

Over the past year, watchdog group White Coast Waste (WCW) had been investigating the dangerous partnership and calling for its end — and, their efforts finally paid off.

WCW announced on X:

@RepBenCline that she is cutting the Biden USDA’s dangerous $1M bird flu gain-of-function collaboration with Wuhan-tied experimenters in China.
WCW’s investigation exposed how in 2021 the Biden USDA launched a five-year $1 million collaboration with the Wuhan lab’s parent organization to soup up bird flu viruses and see if they could jump to mammals.
Records secured by WCW via the Freedom of Information Act showed that animals as young as one day old were infected with bird flu and allowed to suffer in “severe” maximum pain experiments without any pain relief.

A press release from Congressman Ben Cline’s website has more:

“It is outrageous that U.S. taxpayer dollars were ever used by the Biden USDA to fund joint experiments with the Chinese Communist Party, especially research that could be catastrophic if mishandled or weaponized,” Rep. Cline offered in an exclusive statement. “Secretary Rollins and the Trump administration are right to end the USDA’s collaboration with the CCP and put American safety ahead of misguided scientific partnerships with hostile foreign powers.”

White Coat Waste Project Senior Vice President Justin Goodman echoed the representative’s sentiments: “Taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to pay for the creation of pandemic-causing pathogens, and now, following a White Coat Waste campaign, they won’t have to.”
