ROGUE JUDGE: President Trump Can’t ‘Override’ Drag Shows, FORCES School to Allow ‘Queer Empowerment’ Event

For many of us, the election four months ago represented far more than the turning of a political page.

Traditional American values were seen — FINALLY — to be making a comeback; the ballot box was simply a means of measuring that reality.

We watched as the nation voted in favor of a referendum on injustice and perversion, against institutionalized SIN, that had reached levels dangerous to our very survival as a nation.

Those of us connecting many of those traditional values to their Biblical roots recognized that what was happening in America would likely not last forever.

The Bible doesn’t assure us of unending social and political trouble in this life; quite the contrary, actually.

And we welcomed the push back towards righteous governance nonetheless.

However, the perversity and those who push it did not suddenly disappear or give up the fight.

If anything, it seems the ACTIVIST JUDGES who have long furthered the push towards national debauchery under the false claim of ‘freedom’ are redoubling their efforts — which brings me to the story at hand.

You will recall in February, President Trump continued causing Progressive heads to explode when he BANNED drag shows at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, pushing back against the targeting of children for sexual exploitation.

Here’s the full text of President Trump’s post on his Truth Social account announcing the ban on drag shows at the Kennedy Center back in February:

At my direction, we are going to make the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., GREAT AGAIN. I have decided to immediately terminate multiple individuals from the Board of Trustees, including the Chairman, who do not share our Vision for a Golden Age in Arts and Culture. We will soon announce a new Board, with an amazing Chairman, DONALD J. TRUMP! Just last year, the Kennedy Center featured Drag Shows specifically targeting our youth — THIS WILL STOP. The Kennedy Center is an American Jewel, and must reflect the brightest STARS on its stage from all across our Nation. For the Kennedy Center, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!

When President Trump said “THIS WILL STOP”, referring to the targeting of America’s youth for sexually perverse purposes, he apparently meant it.

He has consistently maintained the push to cut off the ability of that evil from continuing its unmitigated attack on America’s future.

But as previously stated, those on the opposite side of that argument have been hard at work trying to fortify the gains that have been made for evil during the last few years.

And yesterday, one rogue federal judge sided with perversity under a false cloak of “freedom”.

Here’s a quick synopsis of Federal Judge Rosenthal’s decision to thwart both the Texas A&M Board of Regents and President Trump’s Executive Order from a San Antonio CBS affiliate:

By means of a preliminary injunction, U.S. District Judge Lee Rosenthal BLOCKED the Texas A&M University System from enforcing their own ban on drag shows held in university facilities.

And in the same breath, she took a swipe at President Trump’s legitimate executive powers as provided under the Constitution.

Apparently, Judge Rosenthal believes DRAG QUEENS have a FIRST AMMENDMENT RIGHT to express themselves by stripping on a university campus.

And she is willing to FORCE the University to allow that to happen, even when the University Board of Regents and the President have acted to BAN drag shows from those locations.

Of course, the Judge cites the First Amendment in her reasoning — plainly ignoring the fact that there are plenty of strip clubs all across the nation which would gladly host the debauchery, which takes all the wind out of the ‘muh freedom!’ argument.

(Please don’t mistake my mocking of the “muh freedom!” argument — I just don’t like it when it’s MISUED by those who are ACTUALLY AGAINST true freedom!)

But the injunction will allow Thursday’s scheduled “Draggieland” event (put on by the Queer Empowerment Council) to go ahead as planned, according to Fox News:

“Defendants … must permit the Draggieland performance to take place as scheduled on March 27, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., at the Rudder Theatre,” Rosenthal’s eyebrow-raising order declares.

The grant of preliminary injunction comes as the Queer Empowerment Council at Texas A&M University, which is behind “Draggieland,” challenged the Texas A&M University System board of regents’ move to ban drag shows.

“Draggieland has been a vibrant and award-winning student-run event for many years, embodying queer joy and unity,” the Queer Empowerment Council said in a statement last month when responding to the ban.

The resolution to ban drag shows states that “it is the policy of the Board of Regents that Drag Show Events shall not be held at Special Event Venues on any of the campuses of the Universities … ”

The measure points to President Donald Trump’s January executive order, “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government,” as well as to a letter issued by the Lone Star State’s Republican Gov. Greg Abbott later that month.

The resolution states that “given that both the System and the Universities receive significant federal funding, the use of facilities at the Universities for Drag Show Events may be considered promotion of gender ideology in violation of the Executive Order and the Governor’s directive.”

So even while the Texas A&M University Board of Regents is attempting to respond with reasonable diligence to President Trump’s Executive Order, the Queer Empowerment Council — and this judge — are attempting to encircle the university in a “catch 22” of sorts.

If they ignore the injunction (last minute for a reason…) they will be in violation of a federal court ruling; temporary though it may be.

And if they ignore President Trump’s Executive Order regarding federal funding of academic institutions who promote LGBTQ (and sometimes Y) nonsense… they will have problems from the opposite direction.

It should be obvious that the Queer Empowerment Council and this judge acted very circumspectly with regards to the timing of this injunction; likely too little time to appeal before Thursday’s event, and not enough time to actually litigate the issue.

Judge Rosenthal based her injunction, forcing Texas A&M to allow Thursday’s event, on her assessment that the Queer Empowerment Council was likely to succeed in proving the ban violates their First Amendment rights.

But rather than let that litigation play out in court, the judge took it upon herself to PRESUME the outcome in order to ensure Thursday’s on-campus drag show couldn’t be stopped.

Many in the legal realm would consider this nothing more than the step-by-step method of allowing the legal system to run its natural course in the court system.

Meanwhile, those of us with even a rudimentary Biblical worldview recognize that ultimately this is evil doing what evil does; relentlessly pushing against anything wholesome, good, or righteous.

Judge Rosenthal ventured a simple ‘remedy’ for those who have a problem with the on-campus drag show, according to a report in the Texas Tribune:

In her ruling, Judge Lee H. Rosenthal said the student group that organizes Draggieland, the Queer Empowerment Council, was likely to succeed in showing the ban violates the First Amendment.

“Anyone who finds the performance or performers offensive has a simple remedy: don’t go,” Rosenthal wrote.

The Queer Empowerment Council, which organizes Draggieland, sued after the system’s board of regents passed a resolution last month banning drag performances across all 11 campuses. The council argued that the public universities are not allowed to censor student performances based on their personal dislike of its content or perceived ideology.

The regents said they were trying to comply with recent executive orders issued by President Donald J. Trump and Gov. Greg Abbott telling agencies not to promote “gender ideology” or else they could lose funding from the federal and state government.

One of the judge’s arguments specifically against President Trump’s ability to impact this situation hinges on the theatrical aspect of a drag show.

According to Judge Rosenthal, President Trump’s Executive Order specified the issue as being the altering of one’s sex, as opposed to PRETENDING to be a different sex than biology would prove as true.

The funny part is… even surgically or medically ‘altering’ one’s sex DOESN’T DO SO!

In reality, NEITHER of these cases ACTUALLY have to do with altering someone’s biological sex; just the illogical and untrue assertion that it can be done.

Nevertheless, the judge argued that since the drag queens are ‘performers’, their methodology of using a strip tease to convey a pro-LGBTQ message is a ‘protected art form’, according to United Press International:

She also dismissed the claim that drag shows are banned under Trump’s executive order and ruled that the boards ban on such performances contradicts its assertion that the resolution is viewpoint-neutral.

“Nothing in the Draggieland performance offends the executive order the Board cites. No male performer in the drag show is stating an intent to become a woman. Nor does the Board point to evidence in the record establishing that the president’s executive order on ‘biological truth’ specifically refers or applies to drag shows,” she said.

“The performers are just that: performers. They are acting. The performance is theater. It is not about individuals seeking to change their biological sex or claim a different biological sex. It is about actors who perform dressed differently than their biological sex.”

The Queer Empowerment Council said in a statement that they were “overjoyed” with the court’s decision.

“This is another display of the resilience of queer joy, as that is an unstoppable force despite those that wish to see it destroyed,” it said in a statement.

If you want to get the flavor (no nudity, but a good example of the abnormal perversity) of what we’re talking about here, check out the video put out on the “Draggieland” Instagram account a few weeks ago:

And here are some of the recent contestants, including one of the group’s featured drag queens touting “family friendly drag shows”.

As expected, they also push back against the idea that this type of behavior is indicative of mental illness.

To return to my initial thoughts at the beginning of this story, I truly do believe things have changed and are still changing for the better in this country in terms of perversity.

That doesn’t mean that sin and evil are going to ultimately be defeated from a political or societal platform; that’s not realistic from a Biblical perspective.

As that war heats up between righteousness and unrighteousness, between God and those arrayed against him on this planet — including both physical and spiritual adversaries — it should be no surprise that from time to time GOOD WINS!

But the complete victory that Christ won on the cross will never be fully realized on earth without interruption until that great an awesome day when Jesus returns again; not as a Lamb to be slaughtered… but as a King to take up His rightful throne upon the earth.

I hate to see even the tiniest victory in favor of evil; even if it is a ‘temporary injunction’.

But the fact is, every play on this battlefield should echo that unavoidable final reality…

One day, the King is going to return.  And no court injunction, no activist judge, no “Queer Empowerment Council” will be able to stand against or thwart HIS righteous decisions.

So even while the battle ebbs and flows until that day in the political and societal realms of earth, we can recognize that even the changes for good we’ve seen over the last few months…

They will be NOTHING compared to the first 100 days of KING JESUS’ impending term in office!

I pray daily, as I’m sure you do also, that President Trump continues victoriously with the push away from evil, and back towards righteousness in our country.

But let’s never forget as that battle rages, sometimes back and forth, that the BEST President Trump can pull off — EVEN WITH GOD’S HELP — will pale in comparison to that day of reckoning when Jesus Christ PERSONALLY and ULTIMATELY puts evil and unrighteousness in its place… once and for all on the earth!
