Signal Chat Leak Lawsuit Assigned to SAME Obama Judge Who Ruled to Block Deportations

A lawsuit targeting several of President Trump’s top administration officials over alleged leaked Signal chats has just been assigned to…Judge James Boasberg.

The very same Obama-appointed Judge Boasberg who ordered a plane full of hundreds of violent illegal gang members headed to El Salvador to turn back around!

If this isn’t judicial bias, I don’t know what is.

The game is totally rigged.

Take a look for yourself:

Keep in mind that Judge Boasberg was also the judge responsible for delaying the release of Hillary Clinton’s emails…

Fox News has more:

A new lawsuit targeting President Donald Trump’s administration over leaked Pentagon plans in a Signal chat has been assigned to U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, the same judge who ordered a halt to the administration’s deportation efforts.

The government watchdog group American Oversight filed the lawsuit on Wednesday, alleging that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and others violated federal records laws by discussing Houthi attack plans in a Signal groupchat. The contest has now been randomly assigned to Boasberg, who serves on the U.S. District Court for Washington, D.C.

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., condemned “rogue judges” like Boasberg in a statement to Fox News Digital on Wednesday. He has introduced legislation that would prohibit district-level judges from issuing nationwide injunctions like the one Boasberg used to block deportations.

“These judges have proven they care more about unlawfully knee-capping President Trump’s agenda than accurately applying the facts to the law in each individual case. Congress can change that,” he said.

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., echoed Hawley in another statement to Fox, calling on Boasberg to recuse himself from the case.

“The bias Judge Boesberg has already demonstrated toward President Donald Trump and his administration is unmistakable. It is not a random act that Boesberg has the case and I don’t expect him to recuse himself, but that would be the best arrangement for the integrity of the court,” Issa said.

American Oversight says its lawsuit centers on the Federal Records Act, which “requires federal officials to preserve communications related to official government business.”

Politico added:

U.S. District Judge James Boasberg — the object of President Donald Trump’s fury for blocking his effort to summarily deport Venezuelan nationals using wartime powers — just got a second crack at the administration’s handling of national security: Signalgate.

Boasberg on Wednesday morning was assigned to preside over a lawsuit alleging that Trump cabinet secretaries and national security aides violated federal recordkeeping laws when they used a Signal chat group to discuss a planned military strike in Yemen — and inadvertently included an Atlantic journalist in the group.

The twist of legal fate arrived just as the scandal exploded further with the Atlantic’s release of the full text exchange — in which Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth previewed, with specific references to timing and weapons, an attack on Houthi militants. The exchange, initiated by national security adviser Mike Waltz, included Hegseth, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe.

A spokesperson for Boasberg confirmed that the case was assigned to him through the court’s typical random assignment process. There are 20 judges on the federal district court bench in Washington.

The assignment of the case to Boasberg comes just two days after the Trump administration, in the Venezuela deportation case, invoked the “state secrets” privilege to refuse to share details with the Obama-appointed judge about the timing of deportation flights to El Salvador.
