Is the Trap Set? Did Israel Accomplish Its Goal to Drag the US Military Into Another Middle East War?

The question to whether the Biden regime will keep the US military out of the conflict between Israel and Iran has been answered.  High-ranking officials in Washington in collaboration with Tel Aviv have been setting the stage to prepare for an all-out war against Iran and its allies despite the impact it will have on a global scale.

Iran’s retaliation for the assassination of Hezbollah’s respected leader, Hasan Nasrallah and Hamas chief, Ismail Haniyeh was called ‘Operation “True Promise 2’ which involved more than 200 missiles that was launched against Israel. Defense News reported that

“Two Navy destroyers launched around a dozen interceptors to help defend Israel against a massive attack by Iran on Tuesday” according to the Pentagon’s spokesman, Air Force Major General, Pat Ryder who “declined to say what kind of ordnance was used by the warships Cole and Bulkeley” but what is interesting is that Ryder did not say “whether their intercept were successful, but he said the operations took place while both ships were in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.”

However, Jake Sullivan, the US National Security adviser said that Iran’s retaliation had “failed and ineffective” and that

“This [result] was first and foremost the result of the professionalism of the IDF, but in no small part, because of the skilled work of the U.S. military and meticulous joint planning in anticipation of the attack.”

Washington is clearly indicating that they are actively preparing to go to war against Iran with its recent moves in the Middle East:

The U.S. has already surged forces to the Middle East to help defend Israel and its own forces. It continued to do so this week, sending three fighter squadrons, including F-15s, F-16s and A-10s. This almost doubles the number of fighters in U.S. Central Command, which oversees American military operations in the Middle East.

Over the weekend, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin also ordered the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln to remain in the region as a bulwark against a wider war. Another carrier, the Harry S. Truman, is heading to U.S. European Command.  These posture changes will add “a few thousand” U.S. forces to CENTCOM, according to the Pentagon, adding to the 40,000 already there — 6,000 more than normal

Ryder said in a press release that the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd J. Austin had spoken to Israel’s Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant right before Iran had launched its missiles, and said that

“The Secretary shared that over recent days the United States has increased force readiness and continues to maintain significant military capability in the region” and that Austin “made it clear that the United States is well-postured to defend U.S. personnel, allies, and partners in the face of threats from Iran and Iran-backed terrorist organizations and is determined to prevent any actor from exploiting tensions or expanding the conflict in the region.”

In other words, the US military will be involved in the Middle East conflict in one way or another.

However, Sullivan’s claim that Iran’s strikes on Israel, “failed and ineffective,” but Israel has censored all media networks from assessing the damage caused by the strikes according to Middle East Eye, ‘Israel censors reporting on military sites hit by Iran, obscuring extent of damage’ which should not be a surprise to those who know about Israel’s censorship of international media networks operating within the Middle East:

The censorship from Israel made it difficult to assess the full damage from Iran’s strikes, with both the US and Israel sending mixed messages regarding the size and impact of Tehran’s attack.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday that an initial Israeli assessment of the attack showed minor damage to military bases. The Iranian attack hit the Nevatim air base in the Negev Desert, where Israel has placed some F-35 fighter jets. But Israel’s military declined to share with the Journal the extent of the damage to the air base.  The military said “it didn’t want to give information to Iran” that could help Tehran understand how much damage its attack caused

What will it look like for the US military and the IDF once the war with Iran has begun?

Iran has the capability to strike every US military base in the region.  Let’s remember that on January 8th, 2020, when US President, Donald Trump was still in office, Iran conducted ‘Operation Martyr Soleimani’ a retaliation for the murder of Iran’s top generals, Qassem Soleimani, a major general who was killed a few days before the operation by an American drone strike near Baghdad International Airport in Iraq.  That day Soleimani was scheduled to meet with Iraqi Prime Minister, Adil Abdul-Mahdi.

Iran had launched more than 11 Iranian ballistic missiles striking Ain al-Asad air base in Anbar, Iraq which is one of the largest US military bases in the occupied country.  More than 100 US soldiers were injured in the attack, many suffered from traumatic brain injuries.

That was just a warning to the US military and its Israeli counterparts.

Although no one on the outside can fully determine Iran’s capabilities, it is certain that they have tens of thousands of various missiles and drones.  They have been preparing for this war for a long time with more than 600,000 active-duty personnel plus another 300,000 reserves and a willing Iranian population ready to be mobilized if their homeland is attacked by the US and/or Israel.  Iran also has Syria, Hezbollah, Yemen, Iraqi militias and the Palestinian resistance on their side who are ready and also willing to go to war against the US and Israel at a moments notice.

In a map from 2023 which was published by Heritage.org shows where US military bases are located:

Here is a chart from the Center of Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) that shows what range of various missiles produced by Iran have and what locations they can reach:

One important fact to consider is that the decision makers in the Whitehouse and the Pentagon are bought and paid for by the American Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC) whether they are Presidents, Senators, Congressmen, Governors, Mayors or high-ranking military officials and so on, all are beholden to Israel and their ‘right to exist.’

Israeli war criminal and Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has been pushing the US to go to war against Iran on Israel’s behalf since the 1990’s.  For decades, Netanyahu has asked the US government for permission to directly attack Iran and destroy their alleged “nuclear weapons program,” but Netanyahu’s mission was to get the US to attack Iran just like they did to Iraq.

The Israeli leadership is about to attack Iran in some capacity, how that would look like? We don’t know.  Maybe the Israelis will hit their oil fields? Or will they use bunker busters or drop a nuclear bomb on Iran’s military facilities? Will they orchestrate a false-flag operation in the Red Sea or elsewhere against US military personal and blame the Iranians? We don’t know what the Israelis are planning, but something big is about to take place. Let’s hope tensions ease, but it seems that we are way passed that point.

The Globalization of War: America’s “Long War” against Humanity

Michel Chossudovsky

The “globalization of war” is a hegemonic project. Major military and covert intelligence operations are being undertaken simultaneously in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia and the Far East. The U.S. military agenda combines both major theater operations as well as covert actions geared towards destabilizing sovereign states.
