NY Times Reports That Biden Told A “Key Ally” He’s Considering Quitting
The New York Times reported Wednesday that Joe Biden has privately admitted to a “key ally” that he is considering stepping down, as Democrats and the media continue en mass to question his mental acuity.
The report states that Biden believes he may only have days to “salvage his candidacy,” and if an upcoming interview with ABC News and appearances in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin go badly, he may be forced to finally throw in the towel.
“He knows if he has two more events like [the debate], we’re in a different place,” the source told the Times.
In the wake of the report, Biden campaign spokesman Quentin Fulks appeared on CNN and denied it’s legitimacy.
“That is false. There are a number of rumors floating out there,” Fulks claimed, adding “The President is in this race to win it. He is the Democrat nominee.”
Biden’s campaign sent out a fundraising email in which he (or more likely his handlers) declared that he is still running and no one is going to push him out.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre also denied Biden was going to quit.
Meanwhile, footage has emerged of Donald Trump stating that he believes Biden is going to quit and that the nominee is now Kamala Harris, who he described as “so fucking bad.”
This latest development comes on the back of several others, including Biden’s own staffers exposing damning details of his worsening mental decline to the Times in a separate piece.
Another report from Axios cites Biden insiders as declaring that everyone connected to the campaign is “freaking the fuck out” over his obvious cognitive collapse.
Meanwhile, Reuters reports that at least 25 Congressional Democrats are set to officially call for Biden to step down.
In addition, CBS News reports that Biden held a snap crisp meeting with Democratic governors Wednesday in an effort to convince them to back him.
