Pathetic director wants to get rid of Trump cameo in movie from 1992

The guy who directed Home Alone 2, where Kevin McCulkin is lost in New York, has become obsessed with wiping out the cameo in the film by now President Trump, calling it a “curse.”

In a recent interview withVariety, Chris Columbus (not that one) said he wishes he could memory hole the Trump appearance when he encounter’s the movie’s child protagonist inside the Plaza hotel.

Columbus claims that he has wanted it removed for more than three decades, whining “it’s become this curse. It’s become an albatross for me. I just wish it was gone.”

Columbus further whinged, “If I cut it, I’ll probably be sent out of the country.”

The article further notes that ”Columbus said in 2020 that Trump more or less “bullied his way into the movie.”

He added, “We paid the fee, but he also said, ‘The only way you can use the Plaza is if I’m in the movie.’ So we agreed to put him in the movie, and when we screened it for the first time the oddest thing happened: People cheered when Trump showed up on screen. So I said to my editor, ‘Leave him in the movie. It’s a moment for the audience.’”

Trump says that’s a load of BS and that they begged him to be in the film.

Columbus responded, saying he didn’t exactly beg, but that “we were desperate to get the Plaza Hotel.”

Respondents to the story noted that this officially makes Columbus the patient zero of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
